TWO MONTHS EARLIER

I woke up and jumped out of my bed, I checked my mobile, 10 am, god I was late for college, I'm in my first year studying medicine, I love it. My mum was a well-known surgeon, I really miss her. Everyday after her death has been a challenge, even when dad has made a good job she was my partner in crime.

I was seven years old when doctors found out her cancer and ten years old when she finally lost the war. My dad never has never forgiven himself, still now he thinks he could've done something to save her.

Since then it has been my father and I, always together, even when he makes me crazy sometimes. John is a good man, he has always support me and helped me, he works at a gym, he is a boxers trainer, boxing has always been his biggest passion.

It was too late for college then I decided I would take a breakfast and then go running, I love running, I'm a very lazy person who could never have a routine at the gym then running was my work out.

Two hours later I was exhausted and like I was just two blocks away from my dad's gym I went.

Once there I talked to Margo, an fifty year old woman who has been my dad receptionist for more than fifteen years. Everyone at the place recognized me, I basically grew there, I used to play with the punching bags when I was five while my father trained his guys.

Adam: Hey little girl! I finally see you around here again!

Adam was my father's best friend and partner since high school, they worked together.

Bella: I know, college keeps me busy. I replied hugging him

Adam: If you're looking for John, he's right there. He said pointing out with his finger

I walked to the direction and saw my dad, he was pretty focus on two guys fighting in the ring. I placed myself next to him and watched. One of them was Darion and the other one was the unmistakable Ian Holder, my dad's favorite boxer. The fight was finished after some minutes and, of course, Ian was the winner, he was good, very good.

John: Right BB, give me a minute and we go home. He has always called me like that

I nodded and waited

After a while my attention was focus on a silhouette, even when I hated his "I'm the best" personality, I had to admit he was handsome. Ian was a tall guy, his skin was tan, but naturally tan, covered of ink, his right arm was full of tattoos, his stomach had a lion drew on it and his back a big snake that covered part of his left shoulder. He was thin but his muscles could be seen every single time he forced them, his hair was dark brown, his smile was perfect, his white teeth could dazzle you, and of course his eyes, maybe the best part of his body, and it's that I have never seen eyes like his, were blue, but not a simple blue, you could notice them far away, they were electric blue, similar to ocean blue, unforgettable.

He was punching strongly a bag, his back muscles being showed. He was a pretty good fighter, my dad always told me he was one of the best.

He was born in a toxic family and most of his life was built on streets, he has always fought, he his the kind of rebel boy who doesn't give a fuck and love breaking rules, and even when I'm not that kind of girl, I have always been into him, he was a mystery and I love mysteries. Anyway there was just a rule between my father and his guys, NOBODY could touch me, I was invisible and completely prohibited
