Ocean Tide
Chapter 1
I swam up towards the surface, breathing heavily, as the waves crashed on me causing me to go under, it was sunrise I come to shore every morning to watch it rise onto the horrizon. The water around me was icy cold from the night before, Virginia Beach is usually beatiful, I sighed, I would soon have to return back under the sea. I dived down under, swimming towards my underwater home, "Aqua, Aquamarine!" I heard my father call, "yes!" I said, "Aqua I want you to meet Dillion! Your husband to be!" he said nodding towards a mer with bronze skin, and brown hair, he was the oppisite me! "Father!" i said staring in shock, I hated the mer, and I didn't even know him, father smiled a pleasing smile "dosen't she please you?" he said turnning towards the mer "yes she's a beatiful young mermaid, for me!" he said, Dillion swam over to me and gently kissed my hand, I wanted to swat him, but remembered my manners.
I stared in the mirror, some mer folk had found in a sunken ship, my reflection was same as always, chalky pale skin, long blonde hair with an aqua streak running through it, Dillion was behind me now, "what?'' I asked annoyed "for you!" he said pulling out a saphirre heart shaped neckless, "I found this in a sunken ship, called the Ti-tanic, the gem is called 'the heart of the sea'!" he said smiling.
