♥Student!Mello x Student!Reader♥

You walked in class, holding your math books in your arms. You felt someone walk next to you and turned around to see your best friend: Mello. The said male sighed while muttering curse words at a certain albino student that was following close behind. You smiled at the two of them. Even if Mello couldn't stand being near Near (OMG I can't believe I wrote that XD), he put up with the frail white haired boy because you were friends with him. The three of you sat down at your spot, near the window.

Suddenly, the silent classroom was filled with screams as Matt, one of your other friends, entered the class, running with his gameboy in one hand and his math books in his other. Mello got mad at him.

"Would you stop with the ruckus already?!?"

Near smiled slyly: "What's wrong Mello? Upset of what we talked about yesterday?"

Mello's face contracted into a grimace due to anger. "Shut up! It has nothing to do with that."

Matt lifted his head from his gameboy and added: "Someone has anger issues~"

This angered Mello even more and he was about to reply to Matt when you got mad.

"Would you guys cut it out?!?!?" you screamed, slamming your math books loudly on your desk. They all turned around to look at you, surprised. You sighed in frustation and sat down in your chair, passing a hand in your (h/c) hair. They silently sat down and kept looking at you. Mello was the first to risk talking to you:

"Hum... Are you alright (Y/N)?" You put your head down on your desk and say something completely unexpected.

"My head and my stomach hurts." You shift on your chair, uncomfortable. "I feel like I'm gonna puke...." You look at your friends, now all concerned and standing in front of your desk. You looked at them, confused. Why were they blushing? And then, it hit you.

"(Laugh) Don't worry guys, I'm not on my period or anything! (Laugh) I'm just tired really!"
You keep laughing and they stop blushing and start laughing as well. You smile at them and look at the time.
"Ugh...there's only five minutes left..."
Mello smiles at you. "You don't like math right?" You look at him and nod calmly, fangirling inside: he rarely smiled genuinely like right now but when he did, you couldn't help but go absolutely crazy. He was probably the toughest guy in school but... he was absolutely adorable in your eyes! He looked so cute with his blond hair framing his perfectly angular face! But then he was handsome as hell with his addiction to leather and black clothes.

You snap back to reality when you hear the bell ring. You look up and you realize: "Wait... why isn't anyone else here except us four?" The three boys also look around. Matt (for once in his entire life) actually puts down his gameboy and looks out of the window. "There is no one outside..." Near looks in the hall way and comes back very fast to his spot.

"(Y/N)! Today it's cleaning day!" You look at him and finally understand: it was the day you guys had planned to skip. Even you and Near had decided to skip class with Mello and Matt. Cleaning wasn't really your thing. You sit down, sighing. Mello was looking outside and the class was dead silent. Why did you guys forget all about it?

The door opens up and a bunch senior students enter class, holding buckets, sponges, cleaning products and rags, mops, brooms... (I can't stop thinking of Levi while writing this LOL). You all sink back in your seats. This was going to be a very tiring day.

You were currently sitting on a couch inside the boys dorm, looking at the picture Matt had took of you and Mello locking lips. You two had chased all over the place to try and catch him. How did you end up doing this? Well, it's time for a flashback my friends (A flashback right after a time skip author? seriously?).

The Flashback

You guys had cleaned four entire classrooms with the senior students: L, Light, Misa, Mikami and Takada. Man were they happy bunch. They actually cleaned with you guys and you were pretty happy that they were the ones who were cleaning with you guys: they decided to treat you four because "You guys did a great job and you must be tired" as Light had said. The truth was that L, Mello, Near and Matt knew each other and L and Mello having a sweet tooth, Light decided that it would be a good thing to go to a café. So all of you walked to a café after putting back all the cleaning products and getting permission from the school. You were walking behind Mello and Near and started laughing when Mello tripped Matt. 

You finally got to the café and all ordered different sweet things. You decided to stick with chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate dip (you'll see why chocolate). You guys then walked to a nearby park and ate what you had ordered. Mello and you went to eat near the swings, under the cover of a beautiful tree. You had started eating your ice cream when you noticed Mello staring at you. "What is it Mello?" He blushed and turned around.

You tilted your head, confused. Remembering the conversation in class, you asked: "What did you guys talk about that made you mad?" Mello started stuttering, surprising you since he never stuttered:
"Well, actually...hum...we tal..talked ab.. about... you...."
"About me?"
"Hum... yes...."
"What about me?"

He looked down at his feet and muttered: "About a person that has a crush on you..."
You blushed bright red and looked at him. "Someone has a crush on me?!?!?!"
He nodded and looked up. His eyes were directed on your lips. "You have chocolate all over your lips... And the person who has a crush on you... it's... (sigh)... me."

He leaned in and kissed you.
You both heard a click and looked in front. "I caught you red handed!" It was Matt, holding a camera in his hands.
Mello got really really mad but not as much as you: "Matt come back here right this instant!"

End of The Flashback

You smiled at the picture. It was absolutely adorable. You heard someone sit next to you: Mello. You smiled at him.
"Are we a couple then?"
There was a small silent followed by a certain answer: "Yes."

(A/N: Sorry guys that Mello is out of character but Mello is always portrayed like a well... Mafia dude (which he is) and I wanted to make him more sweet... which explains the whole different situation compared to the anime/manga. I hope you guys still enjoyed this one-shot!)
