Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, is nearing his final year at the school. U.A. High, to be exact. He managed to get good scores on his tests and was getting ready to be told his ' partner ' for the final quirk examination. It was simple enough. Two people are put together to spar, with only themselves in a building. There were cameras set up all around so the panel of judges could watch and contemplate on every move made by the soon to be heros. His class had hardly changed over the years. Only a few additions, and only a few had dropped out. The people there were fitting, however. The new classmen were more suited for the job of a hero.
In the same room Katsuki Bakugou waited. He, sitting far from Deku, was looking around in his desk seat. The room had a cold uninterrupted air in it as everyone sat waiting. He observed his classmates, taking in their actions.
Ochako Uraraka was on the edge of her seat. She, for once, was not lost in thought or looking at Deku. Instead the short girl seemed to be a bit anxious. Katsuki could understand as to why. A small shrimp like her could barely win a fight. Her power was nearly useless. Bakugou snorted thinking of her fighting him. He wanted more of a challenge than that.
Iida Tenya was not acting out of character, he always looked nervous and waiting. His glasses shone in the light as he tapped his leg lightly under the desk. He did this very often. He was incredibly serious about the school. "He cares too much." the blonde haired hero thought to himself. "Ha, he'd probably put up a fight at first.. but it would be easy to win. I can simply knock him off is feet, and once his balance is gone he'll be too!" Bakugo chuckled darkly at the thought of this.
The other people all seemed to have the same demeanor. Anxious, nervous, fidgety, almost scared. Except for one.Shoto Todoroki. He was calmly sitting in the back, not dreading this like everyone else was. The bastard Bakugou hated. Not nearly as much as he hated Izuku, mind you. But Todoroki. He had won so many battles against everyone. And when he lost, which was rarely, it seemed fake and ingenuine. Not to mention the fact he nearly moved Deku's attention from Bakugou. That was the final offence. That was what made Bakugou the most heated. The single thing. "Tommorow you'll understand who's fault it will be. Maybe then you can stay in your line, away from MY DEKU" Bakugou nearly lost control, his hands heating as he readied the explosive quirk of his. It died quickly, however. It wasn't that he even liked Deku. His twisted mind merely believed that Izuku was his. He had known him for so long, and he had always been better, stronger and the one to tell him what to do. His... Owner. Master, even. "Keep a steady mind. Wait till tomorrow." He told himself. All he had to do was wait..
Time skip: The day of the physical exams. (Approximately 16 hours)
A teacher walked in, head looking down, to the classroom. He was getting ready to gather the students and take them to the examination sight. But, before that, he had to take attendance. The black haired, disheveled teacher called the names of the students, unblinking eyes going down the list quickly.
"Bakugo, Katsuki?"
There was no answer. Everyone looked around. It was a rarity for him to miss class. It was even stranger that he missed a final exam. This would be the final test, and missing it would leave him, unless he had an excuse that proved worthy and that meant more than a mere cold, without the grades. That would make him unable to move on to the next year, at least not in the Heros Course.
"Anyone know where he is?" Mr. Aizawa asked the class.
"No, I haven't seen him since he left yesterday. He's not here." Ochako answered him, and gave a look around the class. No one objected to this statement.
The tired teacher shrugged and moved on. He went through more students, all of which were present.
"Midoriya, Izuku?"
No response was given. Once again, puzzled the students looked around the room filled with teenagers and desks. He wasn't to be seen. This was even weirder than Bakugou missing school. For one, he worked incredibly hard to keep up in school. This was his life. He didn't know what to do if he lost the hero course. Second, the fact he and Bakugou missed this day, of all days, together.. that was especially eyebrow raising. The entire class knew there feelings towards each other. Bakugou hated Midoriya, and Midoriya wanted to leave the rivalry behind. Izuku didn't even feel as though he had a rival! And if it was anyone it'd be Todoroki.
Again a student, this time being Iida, responded to the inquiry concerning the green haired hero.
"Sir, I haven't seen him today. I spoke with him yesterday but he seemed excited to be here. I don't know what's happened.."
Aizawa looked around the class another time, but no sight of either student being there. He hummed under his breath, in a way signaling even he thought this was an odd occurrence. None the less he wrote absent beside the written names. He went on, and eventually finished the list. The exams were going to start and there was no sign of either student.
"Regardless is they are here or not we can't delay any more. We need to begin." A judge stated to Aizawa. It was true. They couldn't stall. It was only the fault of those two for missing such an important day. But.. it was a little too odd to seem true.. Aizawa told the judges to carry on and start the exams. He needn't be there, so instead he spoke to All Might about gathering a few lesser heros to search for the two male heros in training. It was suspicious that they missed both days..{Woah! First chapter done! It's is about 1040 words, not including this note! Wow.. that's a lot. Sorry for the cliff hanger. I'm working on the next chapter and I need to build it up a bit.}
Thanks for staying! Have fun reading the next bit!
