— Intro —
Everything was loud, crashes and explosions... and screaming. Everywhere. I was only a little child. I never knew that it was the end of my world as I knew it.
"Grab Taegyn! Hurry!" I heard my father screaming. I had never heard him so panicked before. Granted, I was just a toddler, but I still had a pretty firm grasp of what was happening usually. I started bawling, curling up into the fetal position, hoping that it would make everything stop.
"Daddy!" I sobbed loudly. "Make it stop!" My mother swooped down, grabbing me tightly as I flailed around. I heard the soilders' voice outside the house and I screamed louder.
"Honey!" My father yelled again. My mother grabbed my sister and dumped us into the bomb shelter, slamming the door shut and locking it. My sister, Aspen, who was only a year and a half older than me at the time, covered my mouth as I started to hiccup.
The explosions gradually stopped, but were then replaced by my mother's screaming. Then, even that stopped. The shelter's hatch opened and two soldiers were standing in front of us. One grabbed me, and the other grabbed Aspen. They were... gentle with us. As if we were fragile. The last thing I saw before I passed out in fear was my dead mother and my beaten father.

Now, I was seventeen, going on eighteen, working for the Galehards in the middle of the wastelands. Thats when I realized how massively screwed I was working with these people. I left. I left Aspen, I left Haven... in search of a better cause. And thats when I found them.
The Shifters.
