I traced my finger gently on the frosted window, the coldness of the window traveling to my finger. My attention shifts from my finger to the beautiful frozen courtyard of the school. Yesterday's words still lingering through my mind. Mate? "A boyfriend, huh" I mumbled, wondering if that could even be the same thing. I mean, it's not love. It's instinct.
"Lee Chae and Jeon Jungkook, your presenting" my thoughts cleared like smoke being waved away.
The coldness of my finger disappeared as I walked to the front of the class. Tasking my place next to him. Being by his side feels weird
I heaved out a heavy breath as we stepped off the little stage, relieved that it is over. I slowly rubbed my temples, adding pressure ever so slightly to ease out my headache. "A boyfriend" I mumbled, looking out at the blurry window again. "Or rather a mate"
''Just a mate"
"Or a boyfriend"
"A boyfriend, someone who loves you"
Shivers climbed my spine and negative thoughts returned to my mind.
It's probably just instinct, one sided love.
"Oh? Are you cheating on me?" My hands twitched, and my legs jumped at the sudden deep voice whispering in my ear. "Since when were we dating?" I stuttered with my sentence.
"Your my mate" he tilts his head, stating the obvious. "Mate or girlfriend?" I asked, blurting the question out. "Isn't it the same thing?" He asked loudly. He scooted his chair back, a loud screeching sound emitting as he did.
"Lee Chae and Jeon Jungkook go sit in the hall" Mrs. Stern annunciated with rustic voice.
I clicked my tongue in annoyance knowing I did nothing wrong. I pushed in my chair reluctantly calmly walking out the class.
"Oh the hall" Jungkook let out a breathy cackle." better be careful, since we are alone" he paused taking a deep breath to let go a small laugh. "I might not be able to control myself, and I can just fu-"
"No way" I shook my head stifling my laugh, finding his perverted humor kind of funny.
"Let's skip school, it's a perfect time" Jungkook snaked his hand around mine, pulling at it. "I'm a good student" I protested, crossing my arms. "Spring break is coming, and we are done our exams" Jungkook insisted, dragging me bit by bit.
"Your very persistent"
