THE NIGHTMARE

THE BEGINNING

  It all started on a Sunday morning when Mr Johnson had a strange nightmare the previous night, concerning the future of his children.
  Mr Johnson is the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency DIA Ikeja, the Lagos State's capital. He is married with two children both of whom are males. Mr Johnson married Amarachi when he was 33 years old, this is because he had to study two courses at the Lagos State University, Ojo where he studied law/legal studies for 4 years and then studied Security education for another 5 years.
  He is a very disciplinary man in terms of education and suffice it to say that it is because of his enforceability at the DIA. He made sure that Richard and Isreal had the best of education and they (his children) also strengthen his morale by putting in their best in their studies.
  Richard was in senior secondary class one while Isreal was in junior secondary class one when the Defense Intelligence Agency in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force called for the presence of their father to a meeting on security grounds.
  The meeting was held at a conference in Abuja and it was decided in the meeting that the Defense Intelligence Agency together with the states department of criminal investigations and other related Armed Forces from different countries of the world , the likes of the United States Police Force etc. will move to Ethiopia to help together with the Ethiopian government fight against the SLS (severe the lives and soul) sect of terrorist. The SLS sect of terrorist have constituted a lot of nuisance in Ethiopia as they are keen on ruling Ethiopia.
  Mr Johnson got home at about 18 hours and he met his wife and children eating, without wasting time, he entered his room and took a shower after which he joined his family members in their dinner. As they were eating, Richard started to tease his father about what was discussed in the meeting and his mother quickly cut him shut saying it's bad habit to converse while eating, so everyone maintained a perfect decorum while the dinner lasted.
  The second term examinations was to start the following week so isreal came to inform his dad about his outstanding school fees, and he left with a smile on his face as his father promised to give the money to him the following day. Later Richard and isreal had their breakfast and their driver Kunle drove them to school as they both attend the 'Genius College' a school established by the government in the early 1990'S and since then, history still has it that it is the best secondary school in Ikeja, their locality.
  Mr Johnson called his wife Amarachi by her full name and she answered almost immediately, surprised, for he had never done so in the last 14 years of their marriage. Mrs Johnson's instincts made her know that something was wrong as she proceeded to meet her husband in his library. There, Mr Johnson told her all that was said at the meeting of the state and informed her of his trip to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia adding that he is to spend at least six months. Ah!!! Shouted Mrs Johnson, who will take care of me and my children and she started crying. Mr Johnson who wasn't too surprised as he had already imagined the dialogue that will come up calmed her down and said my God will take care of you and my children, and then he consoled her to stay cool. He also added that he will provide them with a lot of money before going on this trip and he will place a call home atleast three times a week.
Richard and isreal were informed of their dad's trip to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia when they got home and they also yelled when they heard that he was to stay for six months, but later composed themselves when they realized he had to go, for he was sent there by the state.
  On the 9th day of February 2015, Mr Johnson woke up very early and dressed up in his uniform black shirt on black trousers coupled with black belt and a dark goggles to match, the DIA's outfit.
  After wearing his black socks and shoes, he carried his bag which was also black and hung his pistol gun on his belt bag, ready to take off. At exactly 06:00am, Mr Johnson woke his children, counselled and advised them on the vicissitudes of life telling them to stay calm also for he strongly believes that he will return home safe and sound. Later, he hugged his wife so tight, that she felt she would compress, kissed her on her forehead and gave her that last look that meant just four words 'be cool stay cool ' and she felt she would never see him again and on same impulse, she killed the thought instantly.
  Mr Johnson arrived at the airport together with 467 trained men from different ethnic background plus him making a total of 468 who were willing, ready and prepared to combat the SLS sect of terrorist, a sect comprising of over 700 hardened criminals.
  At exactly 06:44am, the plane to Ethiopia took off and as the plane went out of sight the Johnson's started shedding tears thinking that Mr Johnson would die in the war.
  Richard and isreal did not go to school that day and they prayed to God to guide and protect their father throughout the flight. Mrs Johnson received a call from her husband about 14 hours informing her that the plane has safely landed.
  Mr Johnson arrived at a camp which was staged in the east of Addis Ababa and together with his team mates, they cross checked the strategies they are to employ in combating the SLS sect of terrorist for they were now in Ethiopia.
