Aria and Shadow's Christmas.

Aria watched from the sidelines as everyone was setting things up for the Christmas parity they were having that night. She hadn't really wanted to celebrate.

A holiday that celebrates family, when she hasn't had a family in a long time.

The people at the Temple she stayed in and learned to control her powers in wasn't all to big of celebrating Christmas. Or any holiday to be honest. They treated everyday as a celebration. That was just them.

She looked over to the sound of a door opening and she saw Shadow standing walking in. when their eyes met they smiled to each other before their expression went back to neutral.

Then she saw Shadow glance up and smirk walking over to her.

She looked up and saw a piece of plant hanging up over her she hadn't noticed before.

When she looked back to Shadow he pulled her into a kiss.

There was slight gagging heard from a blue hedgehog that was standing on the other side of the room.

They pulled away from each other and Aria looked over to Sonic.

"Like it or not Faker, I'm going to kiss the girl I love when ever I get the chance" Shadow said smirking , not even bothering to glance at the blue hedgehog.

"And I will be gagging at the fact my sister has to be with you, anyone else I would tolerate just not you" he said back.

"Quiet Sonic, I think it's cute you both got together." Rouge said. She was one of the only people to actually be happy about the relationship. Shadow wrapped an arm around her and lead her to the door.

"We're going out I have something to show you." he said, she nodded grabbing he jacket and scarf from the hooks on the wall.

Once the door closed Shadow scooped Aria up in his arms and raced off through the snow. Aria wrapped her arms around his neck with force.

"You alright?" he asked her, she nodded against his chest and they came to a stop where she jumped out of his arms.

"So what is it you wanted to show me?" Aria asked as Shadow covered his eyes.

He lead her a few steps and she felt branches brush passed her face.

"Shadow where are we going?" She asked with a small giggle.

"Just wait, you'll see soon, I worked really hard on this" he said back to her. She felt him kiss her neck and she laughed even more.

When they came to a stop he lifted his hands from her eyes and she gasped at what she saw.

It was a lake covered in ice perfect for skating on. There were lanterns hanging from trees and different lights and colours danced on the reflection of the ice.

"Shadow...this is...I've never seen anything. So beautiful" Aria marveled at the sight when she felt a hand wrap around her.

"I wanted everything to be perfect," Shadow told her as he lead her to the ice.

"Shadow can you even skate?" She asked with a slight laugh.

"Not in these shoes but I think I can with those" Shadow said pointing to two pairs of skates over by the ice.

"Plus I know if I can't I can just keep holding you till I can, so it's a win,win situation" shadow said as his hand slide gently over her back down and to her waist.

"Okay, I'm not complaining about you having your arms around me, I'm like the idea of you skating with me," she said placing a kiss on his lips.

The laced up their skates and the went out onto the ice with Shadow not doing so well with staying up.

Aria giggled and took him by the hand and helped him balance.

For a while they skated when Shadow decided he wanted to just watch as Aria skated knowing that she was a excellent skater and had watched her before.

She glides over the ice with such grace, jumping up slightly and landing with poise and precision.

She danced on the ice as if the skates were her feet moving with music that she imagined was there, and in some sort of magic Shadow heard it as well.

He smiled to her watching a smile graced her face something that he didn't see to often.

Soon he decided to join her in her dancing as he took her by the hand once they met eyes they danced as if it was never to end.

They came to a stop and just stared lovingly into each other's eyes.

"I love you" Shadow said pulling her into another kiss.

"I love you too" Aria said back to him.

They sat under a tree Aria had her head on Shadow's shoulder while Shadow had his arm around her shoulder. A cold breeze blew past them making Aria Shiver slightly. Shadow pulled out a blanket and wrapped it around the both of them.

They both fell asleep there in each other's arms.

Shadow woke up hours later to the dark night. He wondered if he had just fallen asleep when he remembered that Aria and him were on a date.

He looked around not seeing his ice and ebony girlfriend.

He was about to call her name when he saw her on the ice dancing again.

She hasn't notice he was up and continued to dance.

He saw her make a jump but s she went to land she fell over and hissed in pain. That was when he raced over to her to see if she was okay.

You alright?" He asked lifting her back to her feet.

"I'm fine I just wanted some more time of the ice before we had to head back for the party" she said. Shadow had completely forgot about the party, he was too swept up in the time they were having.

"If we must go back, however" Shadow began then wrapped his arm around her pulling her very close to him showing just how much taller he is.

"You owe me" he whispered.

Merry Christmas everyone, i had fun writing this one, it was really relaxing to write something that didn't really involve much of the darker plots and sad fics that I've been writing the last few months. 

I hope to be writing more light hearted comedy and fluff pieces i have a few in the works, but i do need to let you all know that i will be starting a hairdressing corse in the next year and that will be affecting my free time. 

and i'll be in grade 11 next year so that is a scary thought.
