Imagine No. 1 - Part 1

I Got Your Back

"Dude!" I screech loudly into the mic of my earphones. I also drag the "u" as I screech loudly for my best friend, Christina, to answer me. I've been talking to her for hours and I've been waiting for my handsome boyfriend, Daniel, to get home from his extremely late Christmas shopping. Ever since Christina had called for to FaceTime with me, she always brings back her surprise plan for her boyfriend, Corbyn.

"Yes?" she asks me quietly since she's staring at her phone. She's too busy admiring Corbyn's new post.

"Is it okay if Daniel helps too?"

She looks into the camera and nods her head. I throw my hands up in the air and I start getting all excited. I heard the door open and close, Dani must be home.

"Babe, I have to go now. I'll talk to you when you and I both have time. I'll also tell you Daniel's reaction. Bye baby, love you." I smile into the camera and look at her. Christina and I are so close to the point where we started to call each other "babe" or something similar to that. It started by me accidentally calling her that. She says she loves me too and leaves.

I wrap my earphones up and close my laptop, leaving the earphones on top. I walk up to the door and open it to the hallway. Daniel was already standing there, but he was angry. I had a smile plastered on my face and it vanished when I saw his facial expression. He glared at me and with the light from the hallway facing away from him and little light from the lamp in the room, his eyes were a navy blue. They didn't shine bright like they usually do.

"Daniel, are you okay?" I worriedly yet calmly said to him. I took a step forward to him an his hands balled into fists.

He clenches his jaw and tries to speak to me calmly, but he failed. "Do you think that I am 'okay' after I found out that my girlfriend is cheating on me?" Daniel nearly yells at me.

I flinch at his tone, close my eyes tightly, and jump back a bit. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and look back at him. I open my mouth to say something and close it once more. He heard the last few words that Christina and I said to each other.

My eyes widen. Damn, he has good hearing or I was just loud. Shut up, Y/N! I need to fix this and fast, I think to myself.

"I knew it! You are just trying to make an excuse in your head to cover the fact that you are cheating on me!" Daniel screams at me in anger. A few tears slip away from my glossy eyes and many more are coming.

"No, Daniel, I'm not! I swear I can explain!" I begged for him to listen, but he refuses to do so. So many tears are falling down from my eyes. 

"I heard you say 'I love you' and 'babe' to him!" He brushes past me and grabs a few things. I am full on sobbing now. I follow him around the room.

"Daniel, just please listen!" I screamed and grabbed his arm to turn him around. I can see that he is beginning to cry as well. I look deeper into his blue eyes. I can see how hurt he is. 

He removes my arm from his and walks away. He doesn't say a word at all. He slams the door close and I fall onto my knees and cover my eyes with the palm of my hands. I hear his engine from his car start and I look out the window. He drives away without looking back, and that just causes me to sob harder.

I climb into bed and text Christina for help.
