*Harry’s POV
It was late in Lancaster, Ohio. The streets were clear from straying Pedestrians. A fresh powder of snow had just been laid out the night before. The cool, crisp air nipped at my uncovered face as I hopped off the tour bus. I tried to clear my mind as I walk down the lonely streets of Lancaster. Not a sound was heard other than the wind howling, until I stumbled upon a small figure weeping. I rushed toward the figure in the alley, hopefully being able to help out.
“Are you okay, love?” “Just go away.” she nudged. “Please, all I’m doing is trying to help. I’m not leaving until I know you’re okay.” “I’m fine. Now, can you go?” she stuttered. “Crying in an alley late at night is not okay. Unless you’re a weirdo. Please, I might be able to help.” I urged. “I’m homeless, alright?! I was kicked out by my mom! She wanted her low-life drunk of a boyfriend over her own child! There ya happy?” She cried. “I’m sorry.. I’m had no idea..” I sighed. “Would you like a place to sleep?” There’s an extra bunk on the bus. It’s all yours if you like?” I implied. “I’m not going anywhere with you! I may be homeless, but not stupid. You’re a complete stranger. How do I know you aren’t going to rape me or drug me?” “Believe me, I would have already had you knocked out and had you halfway across America if I was. Seriously though, please come in to at least get warm. You’re going to get Hyperthermia if you stay out here any longer.” I pointed out.
She sighed extending her hand out to me to her help up. She began to limped in the direction I showed her to. She gasped when I picked her up Bridal-style, carrying her the rest of the way there. I glanced at her foot, to see that it was red and swollen. My mind whirred as I thought of all the possibilities to what have might happened. She stood in the den while I tried to peel my wet socks from my feet. I watched as she shivered, her lips turning from a purple color slowly back to a rosy pink. “ Do you need a spare change of clothes, love?” “Umm… Yeah” She stuttered. “Hold on.” I said, running to my closet. I rummaged through my suitcase, finding a white t-shirt, a pair of boxer briefs, and navy blue sweat pants. “These should do for now, until I wash your clothes. Oh! By the way, do you need a shower? Not saying you smell bad or anything I just… Uh… Yeah…” I muttered “Uhh… yeah…” “It’s right there.” I pointed. She grabbed the clothing and limped her way into the Loo.The minute I heard the shower turn on I threw on a can of soup. I could sense she wasn’t the kind of girl to ask for things. I knew she wasn’t going to be a problem.
After I prepared the noodles and made her bed, I sat down to watch my guilty pleasure Love Actually. When the shower turned off, I grew nervous. It’s been so long since a girl had stayed. I wasn’t planning on “seeing her”, but I was tend to get nervous around girls.
She walked out in my apparel. My t-shirt hung loosely from her small body, only capturing a small bit of her curves. I admired the way my sweat pants clung to her hips. I could stare at her for hours, but before I could think of anything more she started to shuffle around under my glare.
“What?” She questioned. “Oh.. Uh..Ha.. Are you hungry? I made soup.” “Yeah.” She whispered. I handed her a bowl of noodles. “I wasn’t sure what you would want..” I spoke. She looked at the soup unsure, as if it unsafe to eat. “I didn’t lace it, if that’s what you're thinking.” “No.. I..Umm. Thanks..” She mumbled. She walked past me, plopping a seat on the opposite end of the sofa. “What this movie called?” She spoke after few minutes. “Love Actually. It’s my favorite movie of all times.” “Oh.. I’ve never heard of it..” “What?! Hold on let me re-start it. You’ve got to watch it from the beginning.” “Okay.” She whispered.
Half way through the movie she ended up falling asleep. She groaned as I picked me up and carried her over to the extra bunk. I tucked her in, trying to make her as comfortable as possible.
