Beep beep beep be-
A hand smacked the top of the alarm clock, sleep eyes groggily looked at the flashing numbers before groaning and hunkering back down into the bed, hoping to go back to sleep.
"Nat! get up, or you'll be late!"
more groaning, a door opened revealing a brown haired lady with dark purple eyes that rolled when she noticed the brown hair sticking out of the bundle of blankets on the bed. "Natalie! out of bed now!" the lady ordered, the bundle of blankets moved as a loud groan came from it "but mum~."
"No buts, hurry up or you won't have time to eat" Natalie whined but pulled the blankets off her head "Its too bright" she complained.
"That's why it's called sunlight sweetie, now out of bed" Natalie's mother, Lana, commented before leaving the room. Natalie groaned again before closing her eyes and letting the darkness wash over her.
Opening her eyes, Natalie sighed and looked at her alarm clock. 8:46 am. She stared blankly at the numbers for a few seconds before her eyes widened in shock and she swore, loudly.
Natalie threw off her covers and jumped out of bed "crap crap crap" she repeatedly cursed as she tossed clothes this way and that, looking for her uniform. Once found she threw it on and grabbed her bookbag before racing out of her room.
"You're late!"
Natalie stopped at her mothers' bedroom door "not yet I'm not" she commented with a smile while mentally cursing at the woman for being back in bed "anyway I'll see you tonight, bye!" she said and hurried for the front door to put her shoes on.
Once the front door closed, Lana sighed and waited. The front door opened again "what did you forget?" she called out as Natalie rushed down the hall "phone" she was informed as Natalie passed her door on her way out. Lana chuckled and shook her head. Her daughter never failed to make her smile, and that was what she loved most about her.
