The sun rises over a large cityscape, where skyscrapers loom; casting shadows on the ground as the early morning sun ascends towards the skyline. The skyscrapers where old and decrepit; with cracks in every corner, as if they could crumble to mere dust by a single breath. A somewhat short girl sits tranquil a few miles out of the city, sketching the city from afar with the remnants of her campfire. The girl in question seemed to have long, light brown hair, wore denim jean shorts with overalls coming up over an off white crop top that had a slightly yellow tinge to them. The straps where brown leather, and where some-what well worn.
"Attila! Valeria's home!" Valeria called out. A medium size Rottweiler perked up it's ears and walked over to Valeria. "Who's a good boy?" Valeria asked rhetorically "you are! yes you are!" she responded, patting Attila's head. Together, they sat underneath an underpass; huddled by the warmth of a campfire as grey clouds rolled in, rain starting pour down heavily.
"Looks like there won't be any walkies for a while bud" remarked Valeria. Attila curled up next to Valeria as she stroke his fur. Attila wasn't like most dogs, he was different; he was born with only three legs, but this didn't bother Valeria, she loved him all the same; and it didn't seem to bother Attila either. Valeria put her hand inside of a patch work, cloth sack and pulled out a red, wooden music box with golden markings around it. Valeria winds up the small, metal crank on the left hand side. The music box starts playing Claire de Lune.
Valeria grabs out a photograph and stares at it. The photo was of a man and a woman, with a young child. Valeria takes a short breath just before closing her eyes; then puts the photograph back in the music box. Staring out towards the rainy scenery, Valeria starts drawing in her pad with some chalk from the campfire; Attila curls up closer towards her; she smiles. After a while the rain stops pouring. "Hey look Attila!" exclaimed Valeria. Attila lifted his head to where Valeria was pointing. "A rainbow!" exclaimed Valeria ecstatically. Outside, a rainbow shone as the water from the passing rain trickled and dripped. "Isn't it amazing Attila?!" Valeria exclaimed once more!
