"Wake up, sweetheart!!! Oh, wake up!!!", my mom's sweet voice echoed in my ears, early in the morning at 9:00 AM. I ignored her and wiggled in bed. I mean, come on, I am on a vacation for god's sake!!! Why can't I sleep a little longer???
"WAKE UP!!!", my mom screamed in my ears and I got up from bed right away. "Omma, just 5 more minutes. Please??" My mom shook her head as in "no" and said, "No, not today. We have to go and meet your stepfather." WHAT??!!! I was totally shocked. I screamed, "WHAT??!! MY STEPFATHER???!!" My mom started to leave my room. On her way, she said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you that I'm getting married. So get ready, quick. We have to go meet them at 10AM." WHAT IS HAPPENING??? HOW COME I DIDN'T KNOW THIS GUY!! I ran over to my mom and asked her, "Omma, can u please explain in detail, slowly."
Then she told me the whole story how she and that guy had met before three months. She said that he was a very kind and caring man. They fell in love with each other and they are getting married in two weeks.
Then I asked her, "Wait Omma! You said, "meet them". Who is them?" She then clearly explained to me, "Oh my daughter, he was already married but his wife died in a few years after giving birth. So now, he's practically single and he has a son too. But he is a year older than you."
Now, I understood everything. She patted my back and told, "Now, go get ready. Wear a pretty dress too." I barely had an hour left to get ready. So, I quickly got into the shower. After having a nice bath, I changed into a pretty dress.

Then, I put on some light makeup with a bit of lip gloss. I kept my hair down.(only hair)

At 10 AM:
My mom and I drove to a café. When we entered, a tall man called my mom. My mom recognized him and took me with her there. As soon as we came, he got up and greeted us. I greeted him back, "Annyeonghaseyo!" He smiled at me and said, "I am Jeon Jihoon. You must be Park Y/N. You look so pretty, just like your mom." I quickly replied, "Aniyo...sir" "Don't call me sir, Y/N-aah. You can call me "appa". Anyways, I am going to be your stepfather soon." I nodded my head and said, "Ah, ne....ne..." He was having a conversation with my mom. Then, he ordered us some drinks. I wasn't paying attention to them as I was so immersed in reading KPOP news on my phone.
But when my mom asked one particular question to Mr.Jeon, I listened with great interest. My mom asked him,"Yeobo, you told that your son was coming. Where is he?" He then told, "Ah,.. He'll be here soon."
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a handsome young man. He was so handsome. He was like an angel from heaven. Our eyes met. He walked towards us. He was still looking at me with such kind eyes. He came to Mr.Jeon and whispered something in his ear. After telling so, he winked at me and left the café. That wink gave me a thousand butterflies in my tummy. My heart started to flutter.
I came back to my senses when my Mr.Jeon said," My son seems to be a bit busy in the company. I am sorry but he cannot make it today." My mom said that it was fine. Then it was time for us to leave. I got up and greeted, "Goodbye, Mr.Jeon.... I mean "appa". " He smiled at me and sent us home.
At home:
Today was such a tiring day. Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I checked to see who it was. It was my bestie-Kim Min Mi !!! I answered the phone, "Anneyong chingu!!!" She also said with great delight, "Anneyong! What are you doing? Anything special going on?" I told her about my mother's marriage and the whole step father thing. And this was her reaction- Daebak!!! You are going to have a step-brother. Oooh!! Is he handsome??? Can I have his number? Wait, how old is he? Can you introduce me to him?
Wow!! My bestie, who doesn't care about me. She kept on asking many questions, so I told her-"Woah, calm down! Calm down!! I haven't seen him yet. Apparently, he was busy in the company so he couldn't make it. Anyways, you can see him on the day of the wedding."
Min mi:Jinja!!?? Come, let's go and buy our dresses right now.
