All glammed up with my friends spread out who knows where, I made my way to the kitchen to poor myself a drink. The bottle of vodka sat on the counter so I took my chance and filled a red solo cup.
"Hey."
A group of boys entered smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and walked past them.
"Where you going cutie?"
"Screw off."
"I'd prefer to screw you."
My mouth formed an o and I pointed my finger down my throat while making gagging noises.

"Come on sweetie what's under that skirt?"
A hand hit my ass. Turning around my palm met the cheek of Garret Watts and I laughed.
"Try that again and I'm telling Amy."
He smirked as his hand latched onto my wrist and began pulling me away from the exit. I was shoved into the pantry with him brushing up against me. The door guarded by his goons. My shouts of protest failed once he covered my mouth. The sound of him unbuckling his belt brought terror to me.

I'm going to be raped. I thrashed around and screamed which resulted in him punching my jaw.
"Shut up slut no one can hear us."
A tear slowly rolled down my cheek as he began to tug at my skirt. I could hear arguing arise from the kitchen. Hoping someone would help I stayed still. The door opened just as Garret would have gotten my skirt off. My cheeks covered in tear stains obviously made Christian realize what's happening. His hands were on Garret in no time and I ran.

"Hey Ash!- what's wrong."
Her smile turned into a frown noticing the mascara that ran.
"Take me home."
She nodded but glanced at the cup in her hand.
"I'm going to call you a cab, want me to come?"
"Just enjoy your party." I wrapped my arms around my body and left the deafening house. Right foot-left foot- repeat. I kept chanting in my head until I reached the familiar street.
Home.

My steps turned into a sprint and I ran into the sweet heat once the door unlocked. Locking it behind me I raced up the stairs and into the bathroom. Stripping off my clothes I ran the bath and laid there for hours, changing the water once.
My eyes slowly shut after becoming tired from my tears and I drifted to sleep.

A large bang woke me up from my slumber where I saw the bathroom door open and my brother staring at me he turned his face and handed a towel to me.
"Ashley why are you so stupid? I thought you tried to kill yourself again."
I shook my head and gazed down with the towel now around me.
"Max I fell asleep. I'm sorry to worry you."
Cussing he left and slammed his bedroom door.
Tears threatened to escape but I held them back. I shut my bedroom door and began changing into sleepwear.

My eyes shut as I drifted back to sleep.

Waking up on your own is stunning, you don't have to deal with noise and grow use to the light. Pity that's not what I get. I groaned as I canceled the alarm and stretched. My feet hit the cold floor as I shuffled my way to my closet.
Usually I'd be on my phone but seeing as I've lost it I have nothing better to do.
I slipped into a pair of jeans and a black sweater before entering the bathroom and seeing a gorgeous blue mark on my jaw.

My finger raised to touch it before wincing.
Well that's that.
I began coving the bruise with concealer and topped it off with powder. Some mascara brushed my eyelashes and I'm done. I grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs and out the door ignoring my parents eating their perfect breakfast.

My bike came to life as I began peddling because I'm broke and my hell bent mother won't let me drive a motorcycle. My school sat ahead of me in the distance. Five minutes until the warning bell would ring. I rolled my bike into the bike stand and began dragging myself into the school building all the way to my locker.
Math then science then lunch followed by English and socials. Great.

Sighing I made my way into a shitty English classroom and sat down in my favourite open spot. Back window. I stared out at the rain slowly dribbling down the glass. About half an hour I got my foot tapped. I glanced to my right and saw a piece of paper on my desk neatly folded.

Are you alright?

I shook my head and began taking the notes written on the whiteboard.

Boring old history boring old books. I wanted to be out walking around aimlessly but instead I'm sat in a building I don't want to be in. Without realizing it the bell rung and I was sat in my next class being called on to read the next page. Lost I flipped through several pages before I began reading aloud. My tone remained flat throughout the paragraphs. When I finished another student was told to read and we began working on answers. My brain quickly grew tired and I began working on my English project.

"Ashley can you come up here for a second."
It wasn't a question but more a demand. Sighing I closed my book and walked to the teachers desk.
"Is everything alright at home?"
I nodded zoning out.
"You seem to be a little behind and not here today."
"I'm fine. I just didn't sleep last night."
He nodded and waved me off after telling me to rest more.

The final ten minutes of class passed by quickly and before I knew it I was in the parking lot walking to the empty bike racks. Great.
I swore under my breath and gripped my bag before beginning the painful walk home. Ten minutes away from home a car hit a puddle and sprayed me.
Five minutes away I changed my direction and went into the woods and walking a path I know by heart. I stood in front of the rope ladder that hung from the tree. I began climbing and opened the door before slouching on a old beanbag and began my schoolwork.
