We began slowly bringing snacks and small pieces of furniture into the wooden house on the tree. Eliot handed me a bar of caramel taffy and I smiled. He knew my weakness.
"So what's the plan ash?"
I crooked my head to the side staring at him unaware of the look he was giving me.
"You have chocolate on your nose." I giggled bringing my finger to his nose to wipe it off. He smiled at me and licked my finger which I squealed in response causing him to sprout a laugh. We pulled out four in a row and began our tradition of game Wednesday. Slowly day by day we would made wood swords and other creations only wanting the others presence. This house was our house and no one else knew about it. He was my bestfriend and I couldn't ask for more. Eliot would always supply candy while I supplied the fruit snacks and granola bars.
"Eliot what's wrong?" I frowned seeing him wince when I playfully hit him in response to his peck at me.
"Nothing Ash." He smiled sadly and wrapped his arms around me. I accepted his hug and breathed in his scent. His face in my hair.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
His breath tickled my neck. I smiled and told him a princess.
"You'd make an excellent princess."
My smile was genuine as we laid together on the two beanbag chairs on the ground."What do you want to be?" I questioned staring up at him.
"Your prince."
My cheeks flamed at his response."You'd make a great prince."
Before we knew it we had eachother.
