Magical Arts and Crafts

Okay, so I came up with this (at least I hadn't seen it on social media so I think I came up with it)

People are doing arts and crafts. You can have it start at any age but I would prefer it to be really young.

They are making things like macaroni necklaces and little bag puppets, stereotypical stuff like that. Then a kid is drawing the eyes for their bag puppet and as soon as they are done, one of the eyes winks.

They show the teacher and the teacher sees it wink too. The teacher recommends them to become an artist because not only is it an eye, it's a really good one, even without the winking.

They grow up and keep a sketch book. Their drawings all come to life and stay on their little paper. The person feels like they are in pain when they see a drawing that they left, and constantly go through their sketch pad to perfect it.

They do that for years (until they are 13 or so) until they learn about sculpting from a friend. They go to a class and make a baby animal like a fawn, but don't expect it to move, but it does. After they finish painting the sculpture the animal comes to life and starts walking around. The instructor notices and laughs.

The character continues. They go to high school and college. They keep on drawing, but more as a hobby. They stop realizing the movements. As the person gets more stressed, the drawings do too. They go through their sketch book to try to calm down after a tough day and see a drawing of a dragon hiding in the corner of a page. They notice that's what happens with all of their drawings.

They realize after a few days why. They went out on a picnic with their sketch pad and started having fun. They remembered they had it and opened it up. They opened up to the dragon page and the dragon was flying around happily, shooting fire sometimes.

They drop out of college. They had saved up money so they could keep on affording things for a while.

They buy paints, clay, anything artistic they can get their hands on.

They sit and start drawing. They paint it, making it look real. It comes to life like everything else. They do only that pretty much for a week straight.

One day they look at their apartment. Paints on the walls, clay stuck to the floor. They smile and laugh though, they are happy.

They go to a museum and show their artwork. The museum takes everything they can get. They start a new exhibit and promise the person they will get ten percent of the profit they get, if they will only give them their artwork. They agree, the art museum is popular, and they love the people there.

They do that for months, they make so much money, and move to a house. One bedroom, an art studio, natural lighting. They live as a minimalist, except for their art. They put up their art on the walls, and sometimes paint on the walls so they can talk to the paintings about things they can draw next.

They live happily. When they paint things on their nails (if they are a guy they can do it too. I really would love it if the character were a guy, just saying that.) it comes to life. Little flame designs move. The sun they painted goes down and goes up like the real one.

They bring their friends over one night, and all of their friends stop. They look everywhere and smile. The person realizes they had painted their living room like the world. One with the Leaning tower of Pisa, another with the great barrier reef. Even one with a galaxy, with little dots as stars.

They realize and get pink, they forgot to tell their friends the magic behind their art.

Their friends all smile. They relax. They have a good night and show them their first artwork, the little bag puppet from all of those years ago. The bag talks to the friends, telling them of the persons life. They laugh at the good times, cry at the bad, and love what the little bag told them.

They encourage the artist to keep on.

I'm not going to tell you how I would end it, but that is what I had thought of when I saw the word 'painting'. This would be a great book, and I encourage anyone to write it, just tag me so I can read the masterpiece that I helped make.
