Love comes through

Prologue

He slipped through the shadows, waiting. For something, anything. A sign, a clue. Someone. Detective Mouse, a.k.a Mick was on a case. A very sentimental case. His special someone was missing. Minnie Mouse. She had been missing for about 24 hours. Mick was nervous. Nothing like this had ever happened before.

It began, just the night before. Mick had been reading the newspaper after solving another case. Mick's dark office was filled with a flashing bright red light. The flash came from Mick's office phone. He grabbed the phone expecting it to be Minnie or his secretary Ms. Cross. Instead he heard the somberfilled voice of his girl's gal pal. Daisy.

"Mick! Oh Lord! She's gone! She gone, I lost her! Mick please! You have to get Minnie back! She's my best friend!" Daisy managed to say all the while choking on her tears.

"Daisy?! What happened?! What's going on?!" Mick exclaimed, panic in his voice. Praying that this was some, sick joke.

" S-s-he's b-been K-kidnapped." Daisy wailed, sobbing and stuttering so much, Mick could barely understand her.

"Daisy? Daisy, I need you to calm down. Tell me where your at. I'll be down in a tick." He was in shock.  Who wouldn't be though. But what the hell was going on! Why Minnie? Questions poor out and piling up in his head like the paperwork on his desk.

" 39 Bilberry st. The flower shop where we work." she sobbed out. Daisy milked it for all i worth and said exactly what Mick was thinking. "Mickey, wha-what is going on? This is the third kidnapping this year..." Daisy uttered in a hushed whimper.

" I don't know Daze. All I can say is I'll get her back. I promise." he sighed, scratching his head at the developing situation. Deep breath. "Alright doll, be there in a jiffy." Mick said slamming the phone down and rushed outside to his jet black mustang. He hoped in and started the engine. It roared to life. He turned the street and began the 15 minute drive which would seem a just short of a lifetime.
