Mia's POV

I can not believe Anthony broke up with me! We were in a complete and stable relationship! But, eight months into the relationship I did notice we were getting distant and he would sometimes ditch me to go hang out with his friends.

A part of me is sad but the other part is relieved to have him off my back. He would sometimes hit me when we would get into a fight. It got so bad that I could barely walk. I had bruises all over my back, legs, and some on my cheek. But the bruises would go away in a day.

I haven't came out of my room other than to eat and use the bathroom in almost 2 days. Its winter break so I don't have to worry about school or my job at the local library. Jerald, the owner and boss at the place closed the library just for the winter.

I'm sitting in my desk chair in my room while scrolling through Instagram. I have a few messages from people and some likes on my pictures I posted a day ago while in my room.

"Hunny, come down stairs!! Dinner time, come set the table!" I hear my mom yell. She must be talking to me because I Know for a fact my little brother, Ridger, can not reach the cabinets in the kitchen.

I go down stairs quietly and walk into the kitchen to see my mom cooking Chicken spaghetti with Alfredo sauce. I go over to the cabinets and grab the glass plates. I set them on the table along with some forks and napkins. My mom fills the plates with the delicious food.

I take my seat and my mom calls down my dad and brother to come eat with us. We say grace and then dig in.

"Hey mom, can Ridger and I go out to the garden after dinner?" I asked. Ridger immediately put on a smile and jumped in his seat. "Please mom! Mia will keep me from falling into thorns again!" He asked turning to mom and beating his fist against the table.

Mom looked at dad before she turned to us again and sighed.

"Guys, your father and I have something to tell you." Mom said, biting her lip and looking at us.
Ridger smile never left his face while he waited patiently. I on the other hand saw my mother and fathers guilt in their eyes. I squirmed in my seat patiently waiting for the news that mom and dad are supposably guilty about.

She didn't say anything so I took the time to say, "Go ahead mom, it can't be that bad". For some reason I felt an uneasy pit in my stomach. Mom took a deep breath and turned to dad who was looking at the table obviously knowing what she is going to say next.

She turned to us and let the breath she was longing to let out. What she said next both stunned and scared me. "You are moving". Those three words made my eyes widen. But those three words weren't what scared me, no. In fact, the only word that scared me was 'you'.
