My Hero:Victuuri

Chapter 8:

Kumo paced back and forth across the darkly tiled floor. He had seen the way Sasoriza had acted. Kumo thought it was foolish for him to run away at the first sign of trouble. "If it had been me, I'd have skewered those pathetic heroes the moment I had them", he thought. The villain rubbed his jaw through his mask; though he would never admit it, Vicktor hit hard. The only reason he had gone along with this plan was because his boss had assured him that it was fool-proof. He smirked, still displeased by the turn of events, as he thought,"Then what does that make Sasoriza?"

It was at this point the aforementioned villain decided to enter. He removed his mask to reveal a man with ruby colored eyes and sandy hair. As he walked past Kumo, the latter leaned against the wall and asked,"Did the heroes give you trouble? Poor little, Insect. Seems your sting is as useless as you." Sasoriza gave his "ally" a cold look as he replied,"One, you know that we are both arachnids. Two, hold your insults until after our leader declares it worthy of such." Kumo growled slightly but relinquished his verbal assault.

They walked into a larger chamber where both their leader and their ally were waiting for them. As they entered the room, a female voice called out,"It's about time you showed up." Both looked at the woman who had spoken. She was slender, long black hair escaping from beneath her bug like mask and wore a black body suit, robotics enhancing her arms and legs. Kumo ignored her as Sasoriza told her,"Forgive us, I would have taken longer if I knew you were here Acari." Acari scoffed in offense and was about to retort when a deep voice commanded,"Stop you infantile bickering and let us get on with why we are here!" The three immediately bowed to their commander and agreed.

Their leader pressed a button that caused the screen in front of them all to activate. It switched on to reveal footage from the battle that took place last night. The leader smiled and said,"As you can see, we have found a critical weakness of the heroes. Of course we were able to identify the boy as Yuuri Katsuki." Kumo scoffed and said,"The boy actually tried to stand up to me, the little fool." Sasoriza rolled his eyes at Kumo's comment as the boss continued,"We have an idea as to who the heroes are, though we have yet to get the confirmation needed."

After his superior finished speaking, Kumo respectfully bowed as he queried,"With all due respect, sir. Why is it that you had Kumo run away when we could have finished them off?" Sasoriza smirked, an air of superiority surrounding him, as he taunted,"And you thought I was a fool? I guess we can all see who is truly the idiotic one if you are unable to comprehend the situation." Kumo looked like he was going to respond however, it was at this point their master slammed his fist down and yelled,"ENOUGH!" Both of them froze in fear as his voice echoed throughout the chamber. He gave them a glare that sent chills down their spines before saying,"Allow me to explain, my dear servant."

He walked towards the trio from his throne above them like an alter. His underlings had already gotten down on their knees and hung their heads, seemingly penitent. Their master placed a hand on Kumo's shoulder and said,"I am not angry for your misunderstanding. The whole reason for taking the boy was to judge the heroes reaction and to deduce what powers they inherited." Kumo trembled beneath his commander's grip as he said,"Forgive me, Master. I did not mean to trouble you. Please forgive my foolishness." His leader removed his hand and began to walk away as he told his drudge,"Do not concern yourself with my reasons." The spider-themed man replied quickly with an,"Of course Master Ten'no." Ten'no smiled at his apology as he seated himself once more and told him,"Just remember that we need not worry ourselves with the next move we make. When the time is right, we will strike and no one will be able to keep us from our goal." His trio of villains merely nodded in response as he thought,"Soon my revenge on that cursed Yakov and Vicktor will be complete."

Yuuri looked at his friends, thoroughly shocked. Vicktor felt Yuuri's grip on him grow tighter as Phichit said,"I know this is a lot to take in right now Yuuri but you have to understand why we didn't tell you." While the Thai spoke, Yuuri was growing paler and paler by the moment. His brown eyes were filled with confusion and fear as Yurio said,"We can explain later but all you need to know is that you're not safe right now." Vicktor, who had been watching Yuuri's reaction, placed a hand on the younger boy's cheek and said seriously,"Yuuri look at me!" Yuuri flinched from his thoughts and looked at the hero. Vicktor placed his forehead against Yuuri's as he whispered,"No one is going to hurt you. I won't let anyone hurt you." Yuuri's face began to crumple slightly as he wrapped his arms around Vicktor once more and cried softly, saying,"I'm just so scared, Vicktor. What do they want?" The silver-haired male returned the action in order to comfort the younger male as he replied,"I don't know, but believe me when I tell you this. I promise to protect you, I will be like your guardian angel that shields you from harm." As he finished, he heard the dark-haired boy let out a shaky breath and go limp in his arms. Vicktor cradled Yuuri in his arms as the others looked on in concern.

As they sat there, Vicktor brushed strands of Yuuri's hair from his face and said,"The people who did this... we need to find them." The others nodded as JJ, speaking up for the first time, said,"We will, but for now, let's focus on helping Yuuri. Catching bad guys is important but Yuuri needs us right now so let's put his needs first. Just like he did for us." Everyone nodded solemnly before Vicktor said, looking at the unconscious boy in his arms,"I agree with you JJ. Villains had better beware because as of now we are all at war!"
