Blood Runs Thicker Than Love

Chapter 4

Harry's P.O.V

Jade is still asleep in my bed when I wake up. I try to get up but realize that she is laying on my arm, I don't want to move it incase it wakes Jade up but I need my arm.

"If you want your arm back just move it." Jade says with her eyes still closed.

"I thought you were still sleeping, but since you are awake can you please get off of my arm?" I say trying to move my arm.

"Oh yeah sorry."

"So once you get dressed and ready do you want to go get your friend?"

"I can still do that?"

"Yes, everything is still the same as it was last night." Did something change between us?

"I thought so but that boner you have might say other wise." When she says that I look down and surely enough there it is, little not so little Harry Jr.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry."

"Why are you saying sorry? Who said you having a boner was bad?" Did she seriously just say that?

I know she probably already thinks the boner is for her, but can you blame me? She is just so hot. I want to ask her out but I'm afraid that she'll say no and I can't lose her.

"Well I'm going to go get ready. You might want to take care of that." She says pointing to my junk.

"Um yeah, will do." Really Harry 'will do' could you be any more of a loser.

We each get ready and soon we are ready to leave.

"Hey I'll meet you downstairs I just have to take care of something real quick." I look around to make sure no one is around then start to walk away.

"If you have another boner just say so, stop trying to hide it!" She calls from halfway down the stairs. I turn around and see her smiling at me. I flick her off then turn back around and continue what I was doing.

I walk into Louis's room and see him still asleep. I grab a pillow and hit him so he will wake up.

"What the hell man!"

"I'm taking Jade to go get one of her friends. I need you to keep an eye on things for me." I want everything to be perfect tonight for Jade.

"Yeah ok, but can I at least sleep for a little bit longer."

"I guess, but if I come back and the house is destroyed because you were sleeping I won't hesitate to kill you. You may be my best friend but I like Jade too much to screw this up."

"Ok. Now get out!"

I walk out of Louis's room and downstairs. I look in the living room to see if Jade is in there. She isn't. I hear laughing so I go into the kitchen to see Jade talking to Retta. I wanted to keep Retta as far away from Jade for as long as I could but I guess that didn't happen to well.

"Oh Harry, did you take care of you 'little issue'?" Retta says smirking

"Jade what did you say to her?" I can't believe Jade told Retta about this morning.

"I didn't say anything to her!" I really hope she isn't lying.

"She's telling the truth, well sort of. I heard her yell it out to you a little bit ago."

"Oh. Well I didn't have one, I had to talk to Louis."

"Whose Louis?" Oh crap! I forgot Jade hasn't really met anyone yet.

"He lives in the house and is a good friend of mine. When we get back I'll let you meet him."

"Where are you guys going?" God Retta could be so nosy sometimes.

"Oh Harry is taking me to go get one of my friends so I'm not all alone in this house." Does she really feel like she's alone?

"Cool. Well you guys have fun!"

I grab Jade's hand and lead her to the door. We walk outside and to my car.

I get in and Jade follows. I'm still upset at the fact that she thinks she is all alone in the house. My chances of her saying yes tonight are growing extremely slim.

I zone out until I feel a hand on my thigh. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, just did you mean what you said to Retta?"

"What are you talking about?"

"When Retta asked where we were going you said to get your friend so you wouldn't be alone any more. Do you really feel alone?" I could tell I was about to cry. I turned and faced the window as I put the car in drive and left the house.

"I did feel that way at first." I move her hand off of my leg suddenly not wanting to have her touch me. " I don't feel like that anymore though. You helped me not feel so alone. So thanks for that, you might not know it but you are pretty amazing Harry." She puts her hand on my leg again and leans in and kisses my check.

I continue to drive until we reach Jade's friend's house. I pull into her driveway and put the car in park. I get out and walk around to open the door for Jade. Once she's out I grab her hand and interlock out fingers. "What's her name again?"

"Are you serious Harry? I told you her name five times!"

"I know but I wasn't really listening. I was just looking at you and thinking."

"About?" Oh, did I just say that out loud? Come on Harry. You got this.

"Things." Really that's the bet you could do. Things. I swear to god I am so stupid sometimes.

"Ok fine don't tell me."

"I'll tell you later. Right now let's focus on talking your friend into coming with us."

"By the way, her name is Emily."

"Thanks."

We walk up to the door hand in hand. I look at Jade and she knocks on the door. A girl a little bit shorter than Jade with brown hair opens the door. Once she sees Jade her eyes just light up and she screams with joy I'm assuming. Jade introduces us and we go inside.

Jade talks to Emily about what is happening. Emily nods with understanding. She then gets up and Jade follows. They come back a while later with what I am assuming is all of Emily's stuff.

We take Emily's stuff out to my car then we get in and drive back to the house.
