Hey sorry for the break, but I wanted to spend time with my family for the holidays!! Anyways I'm back on.......'schedule'.......*cough*. Okay but I'm really gonna try to update once a week at least. Please don't give up on me!!!

An engulfing darkness was surrounding them. All noise blocked by a unknown ringing in their ears. Their hearts raced, unable to move, or do anything at that matter. Only able to stare into the deep pits of dark that blurred in their eyes.

Everything was black.

Marinette tried to scream, just to try and make some kind of noise, but only a strangled breath escaped. And a silent one at that.

It was like one of those nightmares, where, no matter how hard you try, you can't scream. You can't run, you can't do a single thing but await whatever deadly fate may lie ahead.

But there was a difference between the nightmare, and whatever the two were experiencing.

This was real, and this couldn't be stopped by waking up.

A hand reached out for Marinette, she felt the brush of fingers against her own. Without a second thought, she firmly grasped the hand that was connected to the fingers.

Adrien.

She felt the hand squeeze her own, and for the moment, she wasnt so terrified.

She didn't know what to expect, but at the same time, she felt like this was something she knew all too well.

A weightless feeling overtook her entire body, and she felt as if she were flying. For all she knew, she could be.

But that thought was silenced, as her feet hit solid ground, though her eyes couldn't confirm that.

The hand squeezed hers once more, and she did the same.

Slowly, her ears began to work, and she could hear her own breaths, along with that of another.

"Marinette?" a whisper broke through the crisp air, seemingly coming from the direction of the hand.

"Adrien?" She whispered back, feeling
the grasp of the hand falter.

The hand let go.

Marinette gasped, as she felt a pair of strong arms wrapping around her.

She smiled, squeezing the body to her own in a hug, gripping to the soft fabric of his shirt.

The scent of Adrien flooded her nose, and she took in a sharp breath.

Neither one of them were sure what was happening at the moment, they were just glad they didn't have to do it alone.

"God that was scary..." he sighed into her hair, and though he couldn't see her, he was happy to know she was there.

"Tell me about it...." she mumbled against his chest.

"Where are we....?" he loosened his grip on her, attempting to take a look around, to find that he couldn't see anything beyond the endless span of dark.
