ZAYN POV:

She was already better than Lisa because she was quieter. Lisa was always crying and begging and whimpering and asking questions and I just wanted to throw her down a flight of stairs every five minutes.

When she came back down the stairs with Harry, Gabrielle already looked like a completely different girl. She had done something about her messy makeup and her hair looked like it had finally been brushed again. I wasn't surprised to see her donning a typical 'Harry' ensemble: tight dress, high heels, probably no underwear. I could tell that she was scared out of her mind, but she was still keeping it together relatively well, especially considering how girls usually acted when they first got brought to the house. But Gabrielle had a sort of coldness to her that made it seem as though all of her fear had been replaced with exhaustion.

Because of this, she truly wasn't Harry's type at all. Even if you looked past the fact that she looked physically different than the girls he usually wanted, she also had a whole different personality. Harry loved to watch a girl squirm. He loved to be the scary one. And I'm sure that Gabrielle had already begged him a little bit, but I doubt that she would give him everything that he was used to.

Liam came up to me, and I broke my gaze from Harry and his new bird so that I could talk to him. "Tony and Joe are meeting us there." He told me as he shrugged into his worn leather jacket.

"They better not bring that prick Leo along." I growled, reaching for my keys.

"Leo sucks, yeah, but he's one of the best." Liam said evenly. I shot him glowering stare and he held his hands up innocently. "I'm just saying!" He said with a slight laugh. "Okay, okay, change of subject." He tilted his head towards Gabrielle. "What do you think?"

"A surprising pick." I said, and he nodded quickly in agreement. "But we'll see how it goes." I looked over to see that she was staring at Liam and me intently, as if she knew we had been talking about her. My eyes narrowed and I expected her to glance away, but instead her eyes narrowed as well and I felt my face grow hot in anger.

Liam clapped me on the back, and I snapped out of my angry trance. "Should be interesting." He said, and when I looked back at Gabrielle, she was staring at the ground. Harry was sitting in a stool next to where she stood and his arm was draped possessively across her waist as he talked to Niall and Liam.

"Let's go!" I yelled, heading to the garage and climbing into the car.

When we got to the club, I could hear Harry whispering things to Gabrielle. I turned in my seat to see what he was saying.

"Don't talk to anyone. Don't touch anyone. Don't even look at anyone. Do you understand?" He was speaking urgently, and the music from the club was making the car pulse underneath us.

"Yes." She said shortly, and Harry gave me a slight nod. I opened my door and passed my keys to the nearest bouncer, along with a wad of cash.

No one questioned us when we walked into the club, because everyone knew who we were, and everyone was afraid of us, which made the nightlife scene pretty easy. We made our way up to the VIP section balcony and Liam went to go order us a round of drinks.

I sat down on my usual couch and took in my surroundings. I saw the usual people here along with a few newcomers, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Liam came back with my drink, and I sucked it down quickly. A pretty blonde girl was a few feet away from me and I yanked her into my lap. At first, she cried out indignantly but after seeing my face, she fell silent and stayed perfectly still.

I pushed some of her thick blonde hair off her neck. "What's your name, sweetheart?" I asked, my voice raspy and low.

"Sage." She told me, trying to pull down her emerald green dress.
