Sophia *POV*

Starting my new year would be hard. But sometimes it's easier... Meaning there are newbies that are great to become friends with! But also... I was glad that I could still be friends with some of my childhood peeps.

Meeting Lindsey in the morning was great! She introduced me to some people whom she met over summer camp. And they were really friendly, they asked me a lot of questions about myself and of course, I was too shy to answer.

After introductions, I was wondering if I could tell Lindsey about me and Damon. I mean like he's only a friend but, I've spent more time talking to him than Linds. But I guess I didn't have an opening because school was starting and we got handed our schedules.

1st Period: Social Studies Rm-35

2nd Period: Math Rm-46

3rd Period: Language Arts Rm-39

4th Period: P.E. Rm-Field (Mon-Wed)

Gymnasium (Thurs & Fri)

-Lunch Break-

5th Period: Elective (Assigned in Homeroom

6th Period: Science Lab Room

Trading schedules with Lindsey we both sighed. We only had 2/6 periods together. P.E. and Science. Well at least we could be Science partners for the year!

"Ugh," Lindsey sulked. "We only see each other 2 times today! Not counting lunch."

I sighed. "I know right. Such a bummer, do you think we could change schedules?" I offered.

She perked up at the thought but we both realized specialized schedules were due a month before school started.

"Geez." Lindsey said. "I totally forgot about the due date thingie..."

"Eh," I replied back. "It's ok! It's not like we're separated from each other!"

She laughed. "Of course not! We can always see each other after school. Maybe we'll even get the same Elective!!!"

"OMFG! Yes!" I cheered along with her just as the school bell rang.

We both said our goodbyes as we headed of to different homerooms.

Social Studies was such a blast. We had an amazingly funny teacher! I never knew teachers could be fun... Except. Teachers that were practically students haha.

Mr. Romming was our Social Studies teacher. He taught us that school this year would be fun. As long as we followed his 10 "Commandments"

1st: Always listen to me. Even if I tell you to do something silly, make sure you listen!

2nd: Pay attention. Even if something really exciting is happening in the back of the classroom. Just remember I'm ALWAYS more interesting.

3rd: No tattle-tailing. What are you? 2nd Graders?

4th: Always be prepared, or else for me to allow you some of my precious supplies, you must do what the 1st Commandment says.

5th: Always be on time. Sometimes I will shower those who come early with little raffle tickets that will be used at the year end raffle. Mini raffles at the end of every month.

6th: Do not lose raffle tickets. If you do so, you will need to bribe me with suspenseful stories and truths.

7th: No stealing, if I catch you steal someone's "something". It will conclude to automatic prison time. Meaning you teach the class while I sit in your desk and play with your things.

8th: Do not make any jokes... Unless I approve them. If your joke ends on the wall, you will earn yourself some tickets!

9th: Be respectful. Earn and Give respect in this class. Whoever has most respect will immediately become FABULOUS.

10th: Have fun. If you don't. I will make sure to NOT give you nothing. Anyways enjoy my teachings from MR. RONNING!

Math was... Uh. A little bit different.

The teacher was HELLA STRICT. I mean like... She wouldn't let Tim go to the bathroom even though my whole school knew he had a bladder problem. He practically broke down on the spot... I was so shocked that someone could run out of the door so fast.

The only exciting thing that happened in math was that I met someone.

SQUEE!!!

He was super cute! His name was Dylan Fogle. He came from another district because his school district was overcrowded and he got transferred.

He was SUPER shy! And by super shy I mean... SHYER than ME! I was so surprised that such a gorgeous beauty would be shy of any attention.

Our conversation went like this. We only got to talk because we were math partners for the math project we were going to do. (Tough Luck: Project on 1st day.)

"Hi." He whispered. "I guess you're going to be my partner."

I smiled gently. "I guess I am." I couldn't help but notice his curved up brown hair, and his dimples, along with his cute green/red eyes.

"My name is uh... Dylan." He questioned. "What's yours?"

"My name is Sophia. But my friends call me Soph." I replied.

"Ok then. So anyways how is your day?." He asked, trying to break the ice.

"Oh. It's been fine." I waved my hand. "Other than the fact we have to do a project." I reached for my math textbook at the same time he did, and our hands accidentally touched.

"Oops." He apologized, taking his hand away. "I'm such a klutz."

I tried to laugh, but it came out as an awkward cough. Still feeling the buzz from his hands, I tried to continue conversation.

"So where are you from?" I inquired.

"I'm from London, as you can tell by my accent." He continues to talk all high and hoity, making me laugh.

"Haha, that accent is killer." I began to laugh loudly. The teacher from the don of the desk, Mrs. Biving, shushed me.

Which only made me laugh even more and made Dylan laugh along. We stifled our laughter as best as we can. Receiving weird looks from people around the classroom.

"Well," I tried to calm down from my fit of laughter. "We should continue on trying to find some sort of project to do."

"She said that we could build some sort of structure, it just had to be "mathmatical"." He added. "Or we could do a math lesson to teach the class?"

"I like the first idea better. Have you heard of MineCraft?" I inquired.

He grinned. "Blocky?"

I laughed. "You betcha!"

"Course I have, so what do you plan on doing?"

"We could create a building! And since MC is all blocks, it will require mathematics right?" I thought. "What should we build though?"

He tapped his table, deep in thought. "I guess we could build a simple pyramid... or the Tahj Mahal..

I smiled. "Yep!" I opened my textbook up. "That's a perfect idea," looking through my social studies textbook up to a page of the TM. "But don't you think the building will be too difficult?"

He smirked, which just by my opinion, looked good on him... "Pshh! It will be a piece of cake!"

And I could already feel a good friendship start... Maybe even more than that?
