AN:  I just started this 'story', so I hope this helps me or maybe even other people looking for this. Pssht, who wouldn't be looking for this, 99% of Wattpad Stories are Romance.

A nagging thought in my head continued to rouse my brain until I saw something more  interesting. The most conspicuous girl in school sitting pompously on our side of the table. I saw the girl’s look of disgust when one of the boys next to her gurgled a carton of milk and mixed in carrots. Clearly, this wasn’t her first choice seat. Denny was the to respond.

“And what must the mighty fine Elizabeth Carwhip be doing in this third class establishment? Heavens, I did not think I would live to see this day.” Denny’s sarcasm gave Elizabeth a look of disgust, spreading a few chuckles from the boys next to her. “It’s Elizabeth Carwen, Den. I’m not here because I want to, okay?” Elizabeth looked straight at me. “ I heard Matt sits here.”

Matt. He was my ex-boyfriend who ditched me because there was something he kept from me, something that torn our relationship apart. I had to break up with him one day, and that day was just a week ago. I stayed quiet, my expression darkening. The awkward pause was interrupted by my other friend, Emily. ”He sits a table away from us,” she offered. She glanced at me in curiousity, questioning my sudden mood.

Elizabeth paid no mind. The valley girl got on her feet as quickly as she can and rushed to her new boyfriend’s destination.  “As pretentious as she is beautiful,” Emily muttered. Denny gasped. “Emily, what happened to your usual sweet and kind nature?” This let giggles out of Emily, and it would have made me chuckle a bit too if I wasn’t being so silent. Matt.. what is he thinking? When I broke up with him, he simply shook his head and hid his face. I don’t get calls from him or texts. Maybe I made a mistake, after all, in every book the one who breaks up with the character first is the antagonist. He’s probably thinking about you, Caesar declared. I pushed his voice out of my head. Yeah, he probably hates me, I thought miserably. Or maybe he didn’t even care about me…

Emily tapped my shoulder, her face expressing pain and a bit of remorse. I sensed the unease in both my friends and masked my abnormal behaviour with a fake smile. “C’mon guys, I need food.”
