Being Invisible
*The good thoughts of today, are the sad thoughts of tomorrow - Bob Marley*
Some children gathered around me
Only as high as my knee
They asked what it was like to be invisibleTo appear to be fictional
Was what it was like to be invisible
I remember all of my past
The first day until the last
And I remembered what it was like to be invisibleIt was to never be remembered
To not be anybody's treasure
To be forgotten the next day
Like a light shade of grey
That is what it was like to be invisibleTo blend in with the crowd
And never stand out
That is what it was like to be invisibleTo never share an opinion
To be clear to the line of vision
To never show emotion
As if the world was in slow motion
That is what it was like to be invisibleAn invisible person will watch others lives
Which is equivalent to being stabbed with a knife
But you cannot do anything
For you are invisibleThe children agreed
To do good and succeed
Because being invisible
Is just pitifulFor nobody wishes to be invisible
