Chapter 2
Jake was waiting outside as I left school wearing ripped jeans and a black vest top, he must of gone home and changed because he wasn't wearing his school uniform. As I walked over he grinned. "Hey, you came". "Yes" I said cheerily. "Let’s go" he said.
Once we got to the coffee shop we sat at a table and the waitress came over to take our order.
"Would you like anything" the waitress said.
"Sure, I’ll have a coffee please" I replied.
"And I’ll have the same" Jake said while reaching for my hand over the table. I smiled at him, a few of the boys from school came into the coffee shop and pulled up chairs from the other tables and sat down. they weren't wearing school uniform either but I still had mine on so I felt a little out of place.
For the next half an hour as I got to know Jake's friends I found out loads about them and that we all have quite a lot in common. When we decided to leave we said our goodbyes and left. We only reached the outside of the cafe when Jake turned to me and gave me a soft kiss on the lips, I smiled and said "what was that for".”What? Can’t a guy kiss his girlfriend once in a while?"
Once we said bye and left I started to make my way to Gamma’s house to tell her all about my date with Jake, it was only 4:30 so it wasn't late. Once I got to Gemma's house I knocked on the door and her mum answered. "Hi Carly, how are you?"
"Hey, Mrs Harris I’m fine. I was just wandering if Gemma was in."
"No sorry, she's not in at the moment do you want me to leave a message?"
"Erm no its fine thanks, bye"
"It was nice seeing you Carly, come back anytime"
That was weird, if she wanted me to come round then why did she go out? Maybe it was because I said I couldn't so she went out with someone else. That must be it.
