"You must hide, daughters." The tall black haired woman whispered into the ten year old twins ears. "No matter what you do, do not look."

Screams echoed from outside the small rundown house, light flickered in the night as flamed devoured neighbouring houses. Horses and men swarmed around the small village, hauling men and women, boys and girls, into the now crowded street. The mother hurried her children to the small crawlspace under the worn rug. Darkness surrounded the two as their mother closed the crawlspace, a sudden silence broken by the sound of their door breaking in. A resonance of fighting caused the girls to cling to each other, nothing but the sound of flesh hitting flesh could be heard. It may have been hours before there was silence. It was worse than the sound of their mother being beaten to death.

For hours the two sat, but when no other sounds were heard, the small, violet-eyed girl lit a small flame using her power. The flame danced across her skin and before either knew it the flame was gone, the two were just too tired. Both glanced at each other, as one they pushed at the top of the cellar, opening it. Peeking out, neither saw anything, and taking it as a good sign, they pushed the door open completely.

Tears filled their eyes at the sight of their mother's bloody body, while the oldest didn't not let the tears fall, the youngest cried painfully. Shushing her sister, the eldest pulled her through the rubble toward the door, pausing to peek out, seeing no one they dashed toward the woods surrounding the small village. Stepping over the bodies of their lost friends and family, they reached the forest only to pause at the sound of approaching horses. The oldest glanced back, grey eyes flickering, stopping on the approaching creatures, time froze as she recognized a man she had only heard as stories. One of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. He sat on a large pale horse, observing the surrounding area; his eyes took in everything, including the sisters.

Grabbing her sister, they ran, shouts sounded behind them, as well as running steps. The two jumped over logs and ducked under low hanging branches, stopping only when they reached a road. Breathing hard, both girls dropped to the ground, fatigue overwhelming them. Before either knew, they were asleep on the side of the road.

Groggily, the youngest sat up only to fall back, a large horse stood in front of her and her sister. Her hand crept across the gravel, roughly shaking her sister awake, by the time they were both sitting up; they were surrounded by large men. They shrunk into each other, both to afraid to move, let alone speak. The tall horseman stared unnervingly down at them, causing the oldest to straighten her spine, and push her sister behind her.

I would also like to ask for someone to make a cover, message me please.
