The lady took me to the old rundown building she called an orphanage. It was in downtown LA about an hour or two from my old house.

I was allowed to pack a bag, but i didn't  have much clothing. I also packed my pocket knife, a picture of my mother, my little money i had saved, and a hoodie, that used to be my brothers, he was killed on the streets. He was a drug dealer.

I was shown to a small room with a bunkbed, i was told nobody would be rooming with me though because there was only two other girls, they both had their own room too.

After the lady left a new lady came in who i assumed ran the orphanage.

"Hey you little shit, get your ass over here and greet me like a proper fucking Lady." She told me.

I walked over "hello ma'am " i said.

"Fucking bratt" she said as she walked off.

I layed down in the bed, i never slept on a bed before. It was comfy. I drifted right to sleep.

I woke up to the lady calling my name "lou, may you please get down here, theres a gentleman  waiting for you." she said.

She must act nice infront of other people.

I walked down to see the shaggy blond man called logan.

"Well hello, go grab your stuff. Your not staying here" he said.

I didn't  know exactly what was happening but i went upstairs and grabbed my things.

I still held blank expressions and couldn't  process things.

I got back down and he led me out the door.

"My full name is logan paul, you have the choice to take my last name since you're  my daughter now, would you like to?" He said.

"Yes" i said a little to quickly, anything to get my fathers name away from me.

"Okay, well follow me to my car and then we can go to my house." He said.

We got to the car and i looked at him

"Why?" I asked

"Why what?" He replied.

"Why are you here to save me? Why where you infront of my house? Why did you feel the need to adopt me?" I said. I dont quite know what im saying.

"Well a man i knew used to live at that house, i had come to see if he still did, he didn't. I guess it was just luck that i got there at that time. As for adopting you, im not letting an innocent girl stay there." He said.

"Oh okay" i replied.

Then seconds later my mind hit a wall, it all seeped togethere like lemon juice on a fresh cut.

My mother was dead, and my father wasn't gonna get away with it.

I burst into tears, i hadn't  cried in years, i had become numb to feeling. But suddenly it all came rushing to me and my chest was about to explode.
