" Hey y/n! Would you like to come with us? We are going to the Devil's Casino tonight!" Cuphead has asked, sounding quite excited and giddy about that. Mugman, on the other hand, he was really anxious. 

Thinking about Cupheads words, you sigh and smile lowly. You wanted to Kindly decline his offer, but the look on Mugman's feared expression, it stopped you. The two will go either way and no one would be able to monitor them, which is why you should go. Accepting Cuphead's offer, the young cup smiled widely

." Yes! This is going to be so much fun! Golly, I can't wait!" Cuphead cheered and rushed off, heading back to Elder Kettle's home where they lived.

" Mugman? Are you alright?" You questioned the cup who sighed." I just don't want Cuphead to get in trouble, it's...worrying me. Y'know?" Said the blue cup. 

Smiling lowly, you caressed his cheek." Don't cha worry buddy, I got you guys. I know you didn't want to be alone there if something does happen, that's why I'm going." You said and smiled. Seeing Mugman smile back, he nodded. 

" Thank you so much, y/n. You really are a great friend." He said and left. He had to run so he can catch up with Cuphead and keep him out of trouble. 

Waving a bye to your friends, you walked back into your house and continued washing the dishes that were in the sink. 

You were just an ordinary person, just living by yourself. You recently moved out from your parents home and started your own life, but you really should start looking for a job or else you won't be able to pay bills and groceries.

After the dishes were cleaned up and placed in the cabinets, you took a seat on your couch and started to read a book just to pass the time till later tonight. Of course, when the time was almost near, you went to take a shower and got ready. 

You didn't wish to be all fancy, not that you don't have fancy clothing, you just, didn't really felt like it. Like, what was the point? 

You don't dress to impress somebody, you dress for yourself. Besides, it's not like someone will even notice you. 

Shrugging off those thoughts, you headed out of your house and made sure you locked the door before heading off to Elder Kettle's home to meet up with Cuphead and Mugman so they can be on their way to the casino. 

After meeting up with the two cups, you headed to the Devil's Casino, from there on, you never, ever, thought the moment you you step into the building, will be your last time to have a taste of freedom.
