It's our Foundation week in school. My friends and I have built a booth that sells baked goods. At first I thought it wasn't such a good idea since, it's not that really popular in our school cause most people here are rich. You see, our school is an International School so most of us here came from different countries, including me. I'm from Japan, and yes, I'm a Japanese. I'm Riyeko Hamasaki, 16 years old, Seniore High School student.
About the baked goods being not popular in school, well, it's mainly because a lot of the families of students studying here owns either a restaurant, a bakery, or a pastry shop. So i thought maybe they have already tasted other delicious pastries. So when our baked goods became a hit, I asked my friends what they put in the pastries, and they told me that they just used one of my friends' grandmother's recipes in making them.
We continued selling them and now, it's our third day...
"Ohayou gozaimasu mina!" I greeted them.
"Ohayou!" They said.
"Oh, by the way, Riyeko-chan, there's a person waiting for you over there." said Nina while pointing at a man drinking a tea.
"Who is he?" I asked Nina.
"Oh? I don't know, he said it doesn't matter as long as he can talk to you..." answered Nina then went back to preparing the orders of the other costumers.
I walked to the man, straightened my uniform, and greeted him.
"Ohayou gozaimasu!"
He looked at me and I immediately recognized his face. He's my childhood friend, but over time, I fell in love with him, before I went here in the Philippines to study, we promised each other that we'll wait until the time is right for us to be together. It's been 4 years, I never thought I'd see him again.
"R-Reiji?" My smile melted and turned into a complete shock. He smiled at me.
"I thought you have forgotten me already..." he said. He got up and hugged me.
"Wh-what are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Naze desu ka? Kokoni watashi wo shi nai desu ka? (Why? Don't you want me to be here?)" he asked.
"I-ie, deha na i no da... (N-no, it's not that...)'
"Jaa nani desu ka? (Then what is it?)
"Watashi dake deha na i koko de a i daro u to omo ~tsu ta... (I just never thought I'd see you here...)"
"Hmm, well, I've come here for you now, i'll be studying here and i'll never leave your side anymore..." And once again, he hugged me. This time, i hugged him back. I got over from my shock now and I'm really glad he's here with me now.
"Mouichido watashi wo noko sushi nai de kudasai... (Don't ever leave me again...)" i whispered to him.
"Watashi ha shi masen... (I won't)"
