Part 7

Chapter seven:
Doctor: Well.. I've got some good news and some bad news...
Zach: What is it?
Doc: Y/n is fine and is slowly recovering but the baby has a low chance of surviving. We're doing everything we can to save the child.
Zach starts tearing up and goes back to Reese and Myta.
Reese: What happened?
Zach: Reese, you can't know these stuff. You're still too small.
Reese: Oh come on, I'm 15 almost 16! Tell me.
Myta: Zach, tell us please.
Zach: Y/n is completely fine but they aren't sure that the baby is fine.
Myta: Let's just hope for the best, alright son?
Zach: Alright...
Reese comes up to Zach and hugs him tightly. She doesn't know how it is to lose a child, but she hates seeing her big brother like this.
*A few weeks later*
Zach stayed in your room day and night, with Reese and Ryan giving him some time to go home and wash up a bit.
You were doing pretty fine, the baby is still inside you, you're doing pretty good!
While Zach was in the room with you, the doctor comes in.
Doc: Zach- uh, Mr. Herron? You need to step out for a bit, we're going to do some controls on her.
Zach: Oh, sure!
*After one hour*
The doctor comes out of your room and tells Zach that he could come in, he comes in and sees you crying.
He runs up to you, grabs a chair and sits next to you and caresses your cheek.
Zach: Babygirl what happened? Why are you crying?
Y/n: Zach... we-we-
You couldn't speak because tears were flowing non-stop.
Zach: Babe, deep breaths, please. Talk to me.
Y/n: Zach we lost the baby.
Zach started tearing up as he heard that sentence.
Zach: We lost our baby? How?
Y/n: When the doc came to check her up she was already dead inside me... I don't know that to do...
Zach hugs you and places his head on your stomach while sobbing and you caress his hair and kiss his head.
"I'm sorry Zachary." You whisper. He fell asleep with tears still running down from his face.
When he wakes up he calls Reese and the Herron fam to tell them the news, they felt really sad about it, they never expected something like that to happen.
