I woke up from sunlight streaming into the room. I rubbed my eyes and opened them slowly. My head was pounding. I didn't recognize where I was at first. Oh god.
I was so relieved when I looked and saw Kiana sleeping next to me instead of some random. She was a heavy sleeper so I shook her until I heard her groan.
"Ki, we're at the prettymuch house right?" I whispered to her.
"Yes, you dumb bitch. Where else do you think we at?" She said with an unnecessary but expected amount of attitude. Her voice was muffled by the pillow she had just grabbed and covered her face with.
"I deadass don't remember anything from last night," I said and reached for my phone. It was 11:30 in the morning.
Kiana quickly propped herself up so she was sitting on the bed. I could tell she had some shit to tell me by the look in her eyes. "I couldn't drive us home last night cause I had too much to drink but you girl...were gone," She said while laughing.
"Hellllll nah," I shook my head, "What did I do?"
Kiana started full on cackling. I sighed and waited for her to gather herself and tell me what fuckshit I got myself into that was so funny. "Okay I'm done now," She promised and took a deep breath. I waited for her to say something, getting more impatient by the second.
"You real life gave Zion a whooooole mothafuckin' lap dance before I could stop you," She said and started laughing again.
"Nooooooo. You a damn lie. I did not," I shouted in disbelief.
She smirked and tilted her head to the side, "You did though, Tati. I got video proof so..."
I actually shouldn't be surprised at all. Drunk Tatiana was Bold Tatiana—meaning Drunk Tatiana did whatever Sober Tatiana was too scared to do. Whichever Tatiana you had felt some typa way towards Zion.
Kiana unlocked her phone and scrolled through her camera roll. She shoved the screen in my face and I clicked play. Zion was leaned back on a couch making a—um...satisfied face while I grinded on him. I watched his hands move to my waist, holding me steady. I could hear people screaming and yelling stuff at us over the loud music. The video ended and a heavy feeling settled in my chest. I was so embarrassed.
Kiana must've noticed and tried to make me feel better, "I swear I was in the other room. Someone sent me the video later, Tati. It's okay, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Besides...y'all look hot together."
I raised my eyebrows and laughed. "I guess it could've been a lot worse—but I need to talk to him. What if more happened that I just don't remember?" I said.
I just wanted an explanation from Zion. This dude better have been as wasted as I was.
I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My hair was a disaster but most of my makeup survived. I touched up my eyeliner and fixed my falsies. I had my dress on from last night and was bout ready to rip it off because of how uncomfortable it was. To my luck, there were some clothes scattered on the floor. I picked up a oversized champion shirt and brought it up to my nose. It smelled like cologne and sweat. Anything was better than the dress. I changed into it and was relieved that it went down to my thighs.
Kiana winked at me as I stormed out of the room to track him down. I rounded the corner and peeked into a room where the door was cracked open. I saw Brandon and a girl asleep. I kept going down the hallway that opened up into the living room. There, I saw Zion and Edwin sprawled out on the couch.
Edwin was actually awake and looking at his phone. When he saw me walk into the room, his eyes got wide. I waved slowly in return which was enough for him to get the memo. He shuffled around and whispered to me that he was gonna leave and 'give us some space'.
I took Edwin's spot and leaned over Zion. I tried to convince myself that he looked ugly when he slept but couldn't. Even when he was unconscious he was a pretty bitch. I flicked his cheek and watched his face tense up. Moments later, his eyes opened. He looked up at me and made a facial expression I couldn't decipher. "What do you remember?" I asked him immediately.
I backed up, realizing I was all up in his personal space. Cause we totally hadn't done anything like that before. "Uh-good morning to you too," Zion said and sat up. He looked as tired as I did. He started twisting his dreads and was avoiding eye contact at all costs. He continued, "I know we did stuff but I was out of it. I drank a lot. I would never take advantage of you."
I still needed to clarify with him. "Stuff? Like did we stop after the lap dan—"
He interrupted me, "Yeah. We didn't do anything else."
I believed him. He seemed genuine. Zion's brown eyes met mine now that he'd finished talking and I swear I could've melted into them. "Okay, we good then," I reassured him.
I saw his eyes drop to the shirt I was wearing.  "This yours?" I asked, holding some of the fabric in my hand.
He nodded and small smile spread across his face. "It's mine now," I said jokingly and stuck my tongue out.
"Ha—you funny," Zion said, knowing I wasn't being serious.
"I gotta take something for this headache. Deuces." I said.
He responded in a soft voice, using his nickname for me, "Bye T."
That was all the time I could stand being around him. Not because I was upset with him, but because I wanted more.
