Tick Tick -tock

Shivaay paced the halls, sometimes staring at his phone, hoping it would ring. Hoping one of his men or his brothers had found Annika.

Daksh Khurana had made bail and Shivaay had gotten that fateful call earlier today. His blue orbs had nearly popped out of their sockets due to his immense rage. The man who had attempted to kill his wife and created a web of deceit was now free to roam the streets of Mumbai, or anywhere he wished to go.

Annika had overheard the phone call and seen Shivaay's expression and demeanor. No this time this Daksh would not be the one to bring her husband to his knees. This time the Oberois would bring Daksh to his knees.

She had dashed out of the room before Shivaay could realize where she was going. It was a matter of thirty minutes when Shivaay realized Soumya had left college early suddenly, and Gauri herself had also vanished from the house.

Of course the younger women were with their Annika Didi, there was no question about it.

"Annika Di iss Daksh ke saath kya karna hai?," Gauri asked.

" Sabhak sikyanka hai, woh bhi bauth bada," she retorted mysteriously.

" Annika Bhabhi what exactly are you planning," Soumya asked.

" I will be the bait. You two will have to act like it's real," Annika replied.

Soumya and Gauri exchanged worried looks.

" Di aap toh Jetji ko doorsa heart attack dedenge," Gauri exclaimed.

" No Gauri, we must put this Daksh to a rest from which he will never return to bother our family again," Annika declared.

The plan went well for the most part. They had played the card of bait well. Daksh followed Annika to where they wanted him to be , by a waterfront.

" Tum yehi chahti the na? That me and Shivaay get separated, well look I am giving up my life now," she declared.

" Annika tum uss ke liye jaan kyun dheri ho? Just leave Shivaay and come back to me. I won't bother him and we will be happy," he hissed.

Annika shook her head.

" You are disgusting. Good bye Daksh Khurana," Annika said before jumping.

Daksh was about to reach for her hand. Not because he wanted to save her because of any goodness because he wanted her to live so he could continue his obsession with her.

Suddenly he felt two sharp, blunt objects on the back of his head.

"Aree kameene, teri wajh se meri behn margi!," Gauri yelled.

Soumya slammed the cricket bat harder on Daksh, causing him to tumble down.

The Oberoi security arrived in time to see Gauri and Soumya searching for Annika desperately.

"Suno meri behn kahaan khoyee!," Gauri wailed.

" Nahin Gauri, Annika must be fine, chalo we will all look together," Soumya assured her.

News soon reached Shivaay that Annika was missing in depths of the water and Daksh had been captured by the security team.

Shivaay arrived at the scene. His sister-in-laws's forlorn expressions filled his heart with dread. It had been Annika's plan they eventually admitted but now the question was had Annika really committed suicide or had her plan gone wrong?

It was another hour of fears rising and crying when finally Annika was found.

She was unconscious but alive. Shivaay started CPR. Her breaths returned to a more visible pace.

Shivaay carried his wife to the car. He quickly called the family doctor to attend to his wife. It was later that night when Annika regained her full senses.

Shivaay stood up and was by her side as she held her head and slowly opened her eyes.

"Annika tum theek toh ho?," he asked.

"Shivaay I am sorry," she whispered.

He hugged her with all his might.

"Please if you ever pull this stunt again, main mar junga," he declared.

She covered his mouth.

"Shivaay Singh Oberoi ki jaan itni asani se nahin jayegi," she declared.

They had some nok-jok as he fed her soup, and was super overprotective. He even lectured Gauri and Soumya to stop their Didi's crazy ideas from now on.

They merely nodded. They could never argue with the great Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

After the girls left to finally sleep, Shivaay hopped in the bed next to his wife and held her close. He kissed her forehead.

Annika placed her head on his chest. He stroked her head and held her close until both fell into a deep slumber.
