When I was starting first grade, I moved for the first time. I was so excited. At the time I had two pets, a pregnant cat named Belle (Not after the Belle in Beauty and the Beast) and a chinchilla named Cinderella.
About three weeks before we were going to move, I heard Cinderella screeching. Alarmed, I woke up my mother. Cinderella wasn't hurt...
She was having a baby.
It was the single most ugly baby anything that I have ever seen. It literally looked like a testicle. Even so, I loved it. It was family.
Maybe three days after that tiny little nut sack was born, it died. My brother had forgotten to shut the chinchilla cage and Belle decided she wanted a little snack.
She ate the baby.
I had blood in my carpets.
Good thing we were moving soon.
The day of our move, Belle started to give birth right on top of my mother's expensive fur coat. She had thirteen kittens. They too looked like testicles, but slightly hairy ones. Things would've been ok, if it weren't for my brother.
Flush! Flush! Flush!
He tried to flush the kittens DOWN THE TOILET.
My mom and my cousin Chris woke up before I did, so I don't know if this is 100% accurate, but they heard my brother laughing like a psychopath. Whatta correct assumption, but his chapter is next.
My family saved all of the kittens, but there was one that died and was resuscitated by kitty CPR.
We originally kept two kittens. One was white with cute little patches of tan, one was the one that almost died. Their names were Patches and Miracle.
Eventually, we got rid of Patches, because after Belle ran away (we think. Its not clear, personally I think she went in the crawl space and my mom unknowingly sealed her in), she kept using my closet as a toilet. Gross.
Miracle, however, stayed MY cat until Alessio happened (more on him later) and we had to drop her off by the dumpsters behind a Chase Bank. I loved her.
Oh yeaaaa and there were five dogs in my life span. They're all gonna have their own chapters (look for Spike, Holly, Shaq, Opie, and Russell) so I won't go into details.
