Albert Wesker x Reader

Part 3

You stood waiting for the elevator you called (the one that didn't come to your aid before) to take you to sub-level B1 while thinking about what an idiot you were and trying to calm down from your encounter with Wesker. While still waiting for the elevator a woman came and stood next to you waiting for the elevator also, the woman looked at you. "You must be the late researcher Wesker was complaining about in the meeting", you nodded her head looking quite embarrassed "yeah" (you felt awfully embarrassed to know that your boss was complaining about you in front of everyone). The elevator finally arrived and the two of you got in. You looked at the woman next to you (she had dirty blonde mid-length hair, a lab coat over a black shirt and dark green pants with black 1-inch heeled shoes).The woman turned her head "you're probably wondering who I am, aren't you?" you looked at the woman "yes, but I should introduce myself first". You cleared your throat "I'm Y/N". "It's nice to meet you Ms. L/N; I'm Annette Birkin, assistant researcher for my husband William Birkin". You let out a sigh of relief.Annette looked at you in a confused way "what's the matter?" "William Birkin is the guy Wesker told me to report to, I thought I would have to wander around trying to find him and get into more trouble with Wesker" you explained.Annette laughed "okay I'll be your guide until you get use to the place". You smiled and hugged Annette "thank you". The elevator stopped at its destination and the two of you got out. Annette led the way "there are only two rules to not get on Wesker's bad side, 1: Always follow, respect and obey what Wesker says, if you don't, then you better have a damn good reason and explanation for not doing so. And 2: Only me, William, Wesker and other high-ranking staff members are allowed onto the lower basement levels, If you can follow these rules everything should be fine". You two continued walking until you both stopped at a door that read "Supply Room". "Wait right here while I get you a few things" Annette went in the supply room for a few minutes and then came outwith a rolled-up piece of paper and a lab coat. "Here's your lab coat and a map to help you get around in case I'm too busy to help you" Annette said while handing you the items, "Thanks" you responded taking the coat and map. Annette gestured you to continue following her through a door opposite of the supply room "RESEARCH LABS" read the sign next to the door, "I'll take you to my husband" Annette said. You continued walking until Annette stopped and said,"here we are" and knocked on the door. You looked at the door that Annette was knocking on, there was a plaque on the door that read "Head of Research,William Birkin". After Annette knocked a few times you heard rustling of papers and someone saying "no, no, no, no, no". Annette turned her head to look at you "I think I better go in first to make sure everything is okay" Annette suggested and went into the room. You stood on the other side of the door waiting, and heard the muffled voices of Annette & William. The only words you could make out was "G &T got loose ". You weren't really curious or concerned about it, (because you thought G & T were lab rats, and little critters like that always get loose). Annette opened the door and gestured you to come in, you went in the room to see a man (who looked to be in his early thirties and wearing a lab coat over a white shirt with a red tie) sitting at the desk in the office "so he's William Birkin, he doesn't look like he sleeps very well" you thought. "So, you're the new research assistant my wife told me about", you swallowed hard hoping that he wasn't going to be the next one to scold you. "Ms. L/N may I ask how old you are?" Asked William. You were taken aback  by the question that you looked at Annette, who gave you an embarrassed smile, you looked back at William "Seventeen" you answered confusingly .William's eyes looked like they lit up for a second "Annette instead of helping me I want you to show Ms. L/N the ropes till she gets used to the place"Annette nodded in response, then turned to you "come with me". "Wait" called out William "When Annette is finished showing you around, can you give these to Wesker" William looked through his papers on his desk then he found what he was looking for and gave it to you. "Sure" you responded, then You and Annette left the room and got started.
