A single tear fell down her face. She was about to do it. She was about to turn out the light of her own soul.

She was always the cheerful one. Always smiling, never seemed to have anything to worry about. She was smart, beautiful and loved by everyone.
But something had clicked in her head. She got sick of being the girl they all wanted to see. She hated everything about herself. She cut. In places no one would ever see. She starved. So she could be skinny.
Her best friend always tried to make her stop. He was the only one who knew her true feelings. But he didn't know them all. He thought the only thing she done was cut and starve. He didn't know the plan in her head. The plan to slit her throat. And end her life.

It was just a normal day. She acted as she normally would. But when she got home it was different. She smile was no longer visible. Her face was neutral, but there was pain and sadness clear in her eyes.
She decided to do it as soon as soon as it got dark. She had wrote her letter to her best friend. Explaining how sorry she was but she couldn't go on like this.
When she was done she left the letter on her bed and headed out to the lake. The lake is where she could just sit and escape from reality and just watch the waves float by.
She stood at the edge of the lake and sighed. She glanced back to see if anyone was watching. When all seemed clear she got her knife out of her pocket.
A single tear fell down her face. She was about to do it. She was about to turn out the light of her own soul.
