"Oh my..."
Varieties of plants and flowers from Ava's garden kept you from reaching the front door. Having the attention span of a squirrel, you'd constantly lean down just to smell each one of the different colored roses and daze into the world of fresh aromas.
Of course this is what you expected from a woman who owns a Mercedes and...married to a genius? Once you run out of flowers to smell you continue walking up to the front door, which was also a distraction due to its detailed design. Taking a deep breath in, your fisted hand raised to knock on the luxurious wood of the door—
"GOODMORNING!!"
"WAH-!" You lashed backwards and fell on your butt, catching you off-guard when Ava beamed energetically at the doorway. You didn't even knock on the door, yet Ava beat you to it. (Well you did take your time sniffing her rose garden, which was directly in front of the living room window, so she saw you beforehand...)
"You-you scared me!" you panted, still trying to catch your breath.
"My, my sorry about that~" Ava reached down a hand to help you stand on your fidgety feet. "Please come in!" She beckoned towards the entrance of her home.
"Y-Yes, thank you," you mumble, gripping your shoulder bag as you take a step inside only to be slapped with the appealing fragrance of Cherry Blossom. The house seemed to be clean enough due to the lack of furniture at the entrance, but space wise, it was a beautifully designed home. The living room walls held rare paintings that even caused you to stop and stare. "Oh, this is interesting."
Ava crossed her arms as she joined next to you, studying a blotchy painting on the wall. "Even I stand here for long periods of time and figure this stupid thing out."
"And you still bought them?" you asked, looking at her with an arched brow. She seemed about three inches taller than you when she wasn't in her heels.
"Well it was actually a wedding gift from my mother-in-law," she informed with an eye roll. "And my husband admires these types of strange paintings."
'Husband...'
You briefly look away in search of any familiar picture frames that would relieve your curiosity, but strangely no pictures were set up in this room yet. Switching back to Ava, who was still studying the painting on the wall, your brows furrow when Déjà vu hits you. Her profile view... Those hazel eyes glaring irritatingly at the painting and shiny brunette hair falling at her cheeks clicked someone familiar, yet you couldn't figure out whom at the moment.
"Anyways!" Ava broke the silence and beckoned you to follow her down a hallway. "Excuse my morning person mood—I just love the beginning of a new day!"
"No problem," you say in a chuckle, though inside you were sulking to be here so early. Your head switched left and right in seek for any pictures, not even realizing that Ava was long gone when suddenly you bumped into something.
"OOF—OW!" Was that a wall? Rubbing the sting on your nose, you look up and feel a shiver trickle down your spine. A tall, dark-haired man turned his head half-way to look at you.
"I-I'm so sorry!!" You took a step back, eyes widening like saucers as he kept staring.
His eyes were shadowed by his bangs that fell low to his cheek bone. Once noticing how his hair was pulled back in a low pony-tail, you straightened up and studied him carefully.
It can't be...Itachi?! You take another step back. Despite your masked appearance, the heart in your chest pounded so hard that it was audible at your ears. What if he recognizes me? What do I do?!
