Him :)

"Madelyn!"

I looked up from my phone at the airport to see my older brother James.

"James!"

I ran up and hugged him super tight. I hadn't seen James in over a year and it was so awesome to see him. It had been REALLY lonely at school and at the apartment without him.

"I'm so happy you are back! How was Hawaii!?"

"It was good. I miss you tho!"

He put his arm around me as we walked to the car. I drove and he got in shot gun.

He looked about the same from when he left. Same dark hair and blue eyes. Just a lot tanner.

He finally broke the silence.

"Well you haven't changed much. Same curly blonde hair and green eyes. I thought you would have died your hair or something."

I laughed. He always picked on me about "getting tattoos" or "dying my hair."

"Haha real funny but thanks. I think that was a compliment. So are we going back to the apartment?"

"Well not yet."

"What do you mean? Where now?"

"We have to go pick some one up."

"Who? Why?"

"Well I told someone they could stay with us if they helped pay rent."

"Ok then who?"

"Lucas."

I slammed on the brakes.

"What!? Lucas! Lucas Reilly!?!"

"Yes? What's wrong with that?"

"James! You know I hate him! We have never gotten along!"

"Oh come on Maddie. You need to end the feud between you two."

I didn't answer because I never wanted to end it. He was Lucas Reilly and I would never like him. I would never get along with him.

Once we got to Lucas's house, he was already outside waiting.

He walked up to the car and got in.

"Oh that's why it took you so long to get here."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You're driving."

I rolled my eyes and started driving to the apartment.

Lucas and James started having their own conversations about "which girls were the hottest" and stuff. It made me sick but I kept driving any way.

Once we got to the apartment, I didn't even talk to them. I just grabbed my stuff out of the back and went inside. How could my brother let Lucas Reilly stay at my apartment!? Well our apartment but it was technically mine. He hasn't been home for 2 months so I took charge.

Anyway when I got inside, I got into my gym clothes so I could go to the gym finally.

I pulled my hair up into a pony tail as I went down the stairs and finished packing my bag.

"Where are you going?"

"Why do you care Lucas?"

"I can't ask where you are going?"

"Nope."

"Wow. Attitude much."

I didn't answer. I just finished packing my gym bag and grabbed my keys.

"James I'm leaving!"

"Wait where are you going?!"

"The gym! And just come down here! I don't want to keep yelling!"

He came down the stairs.

"Alright how long are you gonna be?"

"Um an hour maybe why?"

"No reason. I just have practice later so I wanted to make sure you have a key back to the house."

"Where's your practice? I will just go to the field after the gym."

"Alright. It's at Eldridge."

"Alright. I love you I'll see you later."

I hugged him then left.

After the gym, I went to Eldridge were my brother and Lucas had football. Trust me, I didn't want to go but I would rather go there and hang with my friend Amanda then go home and be alone.

Lucas and James were the captains. Even though James was away, coach let him be captain still since he was like the best!

I'm a cheerleader for their team but only for their games, not practices.

Anyway their practice was super dumb and I sat there for nothing.

"So sis what did ya think of the practice?"

"It was dumb. I couldn't cheer or anything."

"Because you aren't supposed to cheer at a practice."

Lucas and James started laughing at me.

I just ignored them and drove home.

When I got home, I showered and went to bed. How was I going to live under the same roof at Lucas Reilly!?
