January 6, 2012

I walked into the old wrestling room I felt at peace. This place was my second home. The blue and white matts welcomed me. The light tan walls stood with memory's of passed seasons. The smell of sweat and hard work. Flooded my senses. I took a deep breath And looked around I realized that this season I was the only girl on the team. 'Oh this is going to be great' I sarcastically thought.

I walked over to my normal spot. In the back Corner of the room. Once I slid down the wall. I Took off my slippers and put my wrestling shoes on. My wrestling shoes were simple. All back with two white stripes on the outside side of my shoes. Reaching my in to my black wrestling bag. I pulled out my cellphone and my earbuds. Sticking my hand up under my shirt to put my earbuds under my shirt so that they won't get in the way when I start running in warms ups.

I go through my play list on my phone finally founded the song I wanted to listen to 'it's not me it you' by skillet blasted through my earbuds. Sighing happily. I zipped up my wrestling bag and stood up. Glancing down at the time. I saw that I had fifth-teen minutes before the first practice of the season started.

Jogging out of the wrestling room to go buy myself a bottle of water I ran right into someone. Roiling my eyes "moved out of my way" I said not even looking at the person. All I wanted to do was buy my water, practice my till I couldn't feel no more and then get out of this place so I can go home.

"What's the rush?" Whoever I ran into said. Sighing again I looked up to see who I actually ran into. My eyes couldn't believe who It was that I ran into. The 'coaches son' Brock Books, four time all state champion, he looked down at me with the biggest smirk I have ever seen. Rumors have it that he is the biggest player there is!

"What's it to you?" I said trying to put the nastiest tone in my voice. I wanted him to know that I wanted nothing to do with him.

"Well, sweetheart, you ran into me. I think I have a right to know" if it was possible his smirk got even bigger.

Roiling my eyes. I quickly cheeked him out. He has the prefect deep blue eyes, dirty blond hair that was slightly messed up. Giving off the whole 'I don't care' look. Finally letting my eyes trail down his body. I had to fight the feeling to drop my jaw. He had to be 14 maybe 15 years old? This boy had a body of a God! You were able to see and every muscle in his body under his tight under armer shirt. Letting my eyes take in every inch of him. I felt a finger under my chin. He slowly lifted my head up to meet his beautiful blue eyes again. "Sweetheart as much as I enjoyed watching you cheek me out. We have to start practice" yet again rolling my eyes. I stomped off not even caring that he watched me shamelessly cheek him out.

April 2012

This years wrestling went well! Great actually! Besides the fact I had to deal with Brock all season. Near the end of the season I actually might have to start liking him. That doesn't mater anymore. The chances that I might ran into him again are very slim . We are both to old for 'little guy' wrestling. We don't even go to the same high school.

Happily finishing my run. I stop in my front yard to stretch out. I face my house. Shame hits me. Nine people live in this ran down beat up 3bedroom 2bath house. Stretching my legs I staired at my house, the place I call home. The front two widows were cracked and broken. The door had many holes in it from all the fights over the years. The white paint on the out side was pealing so bad to the point where you could see the wood the house was made of.

Getting done with my stretching I walked inside. "Mom! I am home"

"Great! Family meeting now! go get your three brothers" she yelled from the kitchen. Walking through our very small living room down the short hallway. I took a right that lead to my brothers and my rooms. "Boys mo-" my oldest brother, Kareem Interrupted me.

"We heard" he paused call of duty. "Let's go boys" he said to our to little brothers Elijah and Joseph.

We all walked back in to the living room. We all sat down on our old gray couch a few of the seats had holes in them. I sat down on the far side of the couch away from everyone. My mom walked into the living room from the kitchen. She clapped her hands and rubbed them together. "So I have umm news for you guys" she stop talking and started to play with the end of her blue shirt.

She was wearing her house clothes just a plain t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I waited for her to continue. My brothers weren't even paying attention. The were all looking every where but our mother.

I sighed "what's the news?" I asked getting really annoyed by this whole situation. I just wanted to go to my room. blast my music loud enough to block out the rest of the world.

My mother rolled her eyes.

"Your father got a new well paying job. Since we don't all fit in this house. It's way to small for all six of us. You four kids, your father and I. Plus my sister and her two kids. We are moving! Just us! My sister is staying here a little while till she can fine her own place then they will also be moving out." She let out a shaking breath. "Any questions?"

Elijah looked at me with hope in his eyes. I know what he thinking about. this mean that we will actually have money. He can play football with new pads and shoes. He won't have to worry about of he can still fit in he gear from last year. We will all finally be able to get new shoes and clothes. Now when I makes it to nationals for wrestling I can actually go! Instead of forfeiting cause we can't afford it.

"Where are you guys moving to?" Kareem asked. Slight pain hit me. Now that we actually have the money to do things. He is moving out. He is 19 years old. I feel bad because he also wrestles. It's a big brother and little sitter thing, our thing. He made it nationals every single year, but never Was able to go. He had to forfeited each and every time.

"West Richland!" My mom reply with happiness in her voice!

I had a slight flashed back to a convocation I had with Brock during the season

' "hey sweet thing" Brock said with his infamous smirk.

"Not now Brock!" I rolled my eyes and started to walk away.

"Oh no you don't" Brock grab my hand am pulled me back. "Where do you think your going?" He question. Really how stupid Is he? Does he think I really want to talk to him?

"Home" I simple replied

"Where's home?" He question me again. Can this boy take a hint? I don't want to talk to him!

"How you getting home? I don't see a car."

"Do you ever stop asking questions? can't you get that I don't want to talk to you?"

"No, I got that" he smirked "just answer one question"

I rolled my eyes "fine! One question then you leave me alone!"

"How you getting home?"

"Walking" I simple replied.

"Need a ride?"

"You said I only had to answer one question" I started to walk away again.

"Do you live in this shity little town?"

"Sadly yes, now answer my question where do you live?"

He smirked "now why would you want to know that?"

"Because you know where I live"

"West Richland babe" he smirk some more then walked over to his car.

~flashback over~

"Mom?" I question

"Yes?"

"What high school will I be going to?"

"Well Star Hill high"

Star Hill high, that's the same school Brock goes to. Sophomore year should be fun. The sarcastic sound of my own thoughts. Got up from my seat. I walked down our too small hallway. Grabbing my headphones I let pierce the veil sing me to sleep
