"Rosalie I have a headache and you're drunk. We have to go home." I tried reasoning with my best friend but she wouldn't listen.
"I'm not d-drunk." She slurred and hiccuped.
"Rose!" I shouted over the music as she walked away. Well, more like dragged herself away. Swaying and nearly falling several times before disappearing from my view.
"Rose, I swear..." I took a look around and sighed. "Damn, I never noticed how many people were here." I inched my way closer to her through the groups of people, but she kept walking farther. I reached out my hand, trying to grab her's, but someone dumped into me and I began to fall.
I braced myself for the impact of the wooden floor but it didn't come. Instead I felt a very muscular arm wrapped around my torso and pulled me up straight.
When I turned around, I didn't expect to come face-to-face with a work of art.
Cherry hair that stuck out everywhere. His red eyes shone against the party lights that were strung around all of the walls. His jawline had to have been 10,000 times better than Ryan Goslings and his lips, oh don't even get me started; they looked so soft and kissable. No, I'm not ashamed to say that, it's true.
He word a red jock sweater with a few black stripes going over his broad shoulders, black jeans and blood red and black converse.
"You okay there?" He asked, his voice was somewhat raspy but overall angelic and masculine.
I blushed a deep shade of pink. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine thanks to you." I smiled and laughed nervously. I felt at ease though when he smiled back.
"Well, I couldn't help but notice that you were having a little trouble with your friend." He chuckled at the obvious statement he made. Of course I was having trouble with Rose! She always got like this a parties. I grumbled and then answered with a disappointed "Yep".
He chuckled once again before offering to help me find Rose again, and me being me, didn't reject his offer. I mean, free help? Are you kidding me, who would turn that down?
Anyway, we searched the house for around twenty minutes before I spotted-
Something dawned on me.
I didn't even know this guys name.
"Dumb.." I muttered as I slapped my palm to my forehead. Did I always do this? If so, sorry to anyone and everyone I've met and will meet. Whatever-his-name-is walked towards me, lightly pulling Rosies arm so as to not hurt her. Though she still looked a little panicked- I would be flipping the fuck out if someone I didn't know was dragging me across the floor- I strode closer to them with complete confidence and trust. Fake, confidence and trust.
"Y/N," Rose dragged out the end of my name, sounding like a little kid. "Come on Rosalie, we have to get you back home." I sighed and turned to the guy. "Thanks for this, she can be a handful sometimes."
"No problem. You need help getting her back home?" He asked kindly. I replied with a simple, "No, thank you though."
We said our goodbyes and I left to take Rosie home.
Little did I know, I'd become part of a late night drag race.
