Gina worked as a medical resident at the only hospital in the town of Arbre Field. Here she treated patients in the emergency ward, but due to the size of the town, nothing exciting ever busted through the emergency doors. After a month of working there, she realized it was up to her to make things a little more interesting. Most would describe Gina as an ambitious, intelligent, young women. She had graduated from her 4-year college program in 2 years and got accepted to all the medical schools in her state. But what often confused people was the fact that she had chosen to work in one of the most run-down towns, even though she got offers from the most prestigious hospitals. When people asked her why, she simply answered by saying she pictured starting a family in this town. Her appearance was another factor that added to her facade. She had dark hair that was always pinned back, she dressed fairly modestly and only seemed to wear sweaters that were clearly too big for her thin frame. She had big eyes and an even bigger smile that most found contagious. She lived in one of the biggest houses in town with her mother who would rarely go out, mostly because Gina had forbidden her mother from stepping foot out of the house alone or without her permission. No one knew what happened behind the ginormous wooden doors of Gina's home, for she never had guests over, nor did she have any friends to invite over on a quiet afternoon. That was perhaps the weirdest thing about Gina, so many were fond of her, yet there was not a single name that she held close to her heart.

"You've got 4 patients today Gina, that's 2 more than last week. Looks like things are beginning to get busy around here" Albert, the lead Attending said sarcastically before handing a stack of files to Gina.
"Aren't I lucky" Gina replied. "Is it ok if I leave at 5 today? My mom has the flu, she needs my help at home" Gina asked politely while walking down the empty corridor with Albert.
"Oh sure, sure. You can leave as soon as you're done, I'm fine with that" Albert explained before parting ways with Gina.
Gina flipped through the top file with a victorious smile and read the first patient's summary as she walked to their room. It happened to be a man in his 20's who had faced multiple gunshot wounds in his torso and legs, he was admitted at around 4 a.m yesterday and had already gotten the bullets removed, only a quick checkup was needed before he could be signed out.
As Gina walked down the hall lined with identical rooms, she approached the patient's room. Outside the room stood a tall police officer with his arms across his chest, his eyes threatening to close any minute.
"Good morning sir," Gina said, causing the officer to stand fully alert. "what are you doing outside this patients room?" She asked while looking down the hall to see if there were any other policemen.
"Well Miss, that man shot two men while trying to break into someone's car, and he threatened the nurse that was in here a minute ago, I was told to stand here just in case he got any crazy ideas" the officer smiled and made way for Gina to walk in. No one was in the room other than the patient, only the monitor and the slight snoring of the patient echoed through the room. The young man had his torso and leg bandaged. He looked peacefully asleep with this head turned slightly away from Gina. But Gina knew this man was far from innocent, she had just learned he was a criminal.
So, Gina did what she would do to all bad patients. She quietly reached into the inner pocket of her white coat to pull out a syringe full of what she named "X". After making sure the patient was asleep for the second time, she smoothly slipped the syringe full of yellow liquid into a protruding vein on the inner side of the man's arm. She then stood quietly by his bedside, with her eyes glued to the monitor. His slowly began to decline.
