a flower fell on the shoulder of sooyoung. she smiled as she admired the beauty of the flower. she got out of her dreamland she entered while she was looking at the flower because of her bestfriend's voice.
"what are you doing sooyoung-ie"
she turned her head to the boy that was now in front of her. she took the flower and said "sunbae! who is prettier, me or the flower?"
he smirked micheviously before answering. "i am the prettiest!"
sooyoung acted like she got upset by the answer that her favorite sunbae gave. "ah sunbae you are no fun and that was definitely not romantic"
she realised she said something she shouldn't have said to him. "i...i mean you can't say that to your girlfriend in the future- you know, she would be upset?"
"my future girlfriend would be upset? what if she likes a playful and handsome person like me ?"
he already knew that his precious sooyoung had a crush on him. the way he learnt was kinda cute.
she was bragging about him to her best friends and he accidentally overheard what yeri, her close friend, said "unnie, isn't it time to show your 'hot joy' side. i saw sunbae staring at you today seriously you should confess. i ship you so much!"
and now seeing her trying to hide the feelings she has for him was quite entertaining.
"thats her preferance then. why would i care anyway, i have an exam tomorrow yook sunbae see you at school." she said with a fake smile.
he felt that he went too overboard with the joking thing. "sooyoung-ah wait for a second!"
sooyoung turned to face sungjae and said "what?" with a slightly annoyed voice. she was kinda jealous that her crush might have a girlfriend like he mentioned before.
"our sooyoung-ie is annoyed or something? dont worry i dont have a girlfriend." sungjae said while laughing at sooyoung's reaction.
"ahh i was not upset or annoyed oppa what are you saying"
sooyoung's cheeks were turning to shades of red. she was trying to control her emotions but the more she tried the more she made ot obvious that she liked him.
"really? because you sounded upset just before. why? you want to be my girlfriend?" sungjae was trying to make sooyoung confess her feelings. teasing her was so much fun since she was struggling to keep her emotions inside.
sooyoung felt trapped. why was sungjae talking to her like this? she kept asking herself but couldnt find the answer.
"oppa if you dont stop talking about girlfriends and relationships i will leave" sooyoung quickly said.
"well then you should get going, girlfriend. see you tomorrow." he said while leaving her shocked.
sooyoung couldnt believe her ears. did he really just said girlfriend to her? no no no he said that because she was one of his girl friends, right? that must be it. she shouldnt get her hopes up because whenever she does she gets really upset after learning the truth.

days passed after sungjae called sooyoung "girlfriend". sooyoung kept avoiding sungjae while he was trying to approach her. it was entertaining for sungjae to see sooyoung trying to hide from him and get surprised every time they make eye contact.
even though it was nice to see sooyoung blush, he wanted them to be official. he didnt wanna wait anymore because he was scared that someone would confess to her before him. he sure knew that sooyoung was really popular at school.
he was walking to the cafeteria until he saw sooyoung silently crying. he wasnt sure what to do but he decided to approach her.
"what happened? who made you cry?" sooyoung turned to the direction that voice was coming from only to see her beloved crush.
she wiped her tears fastly. "i wasnt crying. your eyes are blind, oppa!" she quickly said. she was embarrassed that he saw her in a moment like this.
"ahh, i might be blinded by your beauty but that doesnt change the fact that you were wiping your tears, sooyoung. tell me what happened, right now." sooyoung was blushing. so she didnt hear wrong that day. he actually called her, his 'girlfriend'.
"yook sungjae, i hope you are not joking with me. you make my heart flutter every time but isnt this unfair for me? just drop the act because its hurting me." she was now looking at his eyes.
"you sure ruin my plans, just follow me" sungjae said while reaching for her hand. sooyoung was trying to guess what his plan was but she couldn't figure it out.
they walked outside of the building. sungjae and she had a small secret place. they would often hang out there after school to relax and spend time with each other.
when they reached to the secret place sungjae turned to sooyoung. today she looked extra beautiful but he didnt know the reason why.
"why are we here? im tired of these acts." sooyoung said slowly. sungjae rolled his eyes "wont you be patient for even once? im trying to make a confession here" he blurted out accidently.
sooyoung raised her eyebrows "what? confession?" sungjae laughed awkwardly "ive been giving you the biggest hints and you still didnt figure it out?" sooyoung thought he was only joking.
"you always joke around and even though i had a little hope that those hints were real i still dont believe you. where is the camera? i should wave to it so this prank can finish." she was annoyed the fact that he wasnt telling her the truth, at least thats what she thought. on the other hand sungjae was getting mad because she wasnt trusting him. he was really hurt and he couldn't handle his emotions anymore.
"what should i do to make you believe me? i did everything and you still say that its a joke. have you ever actually trusted me? what am i to you?" he shouted. sooyoung wasnt expecting his come back to be like this.
"cant you see that all of the girls in our school are drooling over you? im always there watching all those girls who confess to you. im trying my best to not break our friendship because im afraid that if we become a thing and then break up our bond will be gone! i cant handle that, im sorry" she shouted back. her tears were slowly falling down from her eyes.
sungjae couldnt bare watching her cry anymore and he reached out to her lips. her mind was empty. the only thing she was thinking at that moment was him. her body couldnt react all the emotions he was sending through her body.
he was craving for her love and she was craving for his love. at that moment, they found the real treasure inside their hearts.
she slowly pulled of her lips to stare at his glowing face. he smiled as he said "are you believing me now, yook sooyoung?"
she laughed a little "hmm, am i or am i not? i dont know i have to think." sungjae frowned at the answer he heard.
"just joking! but oppa seriously why did you even fall for me? look at me im not pretty and my grades arent that good" sungjae looked at her with a disbelief. "you are the perfect- no, no the perfect-est human being ever." he pecked her cheek before looking at his phone to check the time.
"oh my god! sooyoung we missed the last period." her eyes wide opened "miss kim will kill us, what are we gonna do?" sungjae smirked "we are just gonna tell that we found love" she playfully hit his shoulder while blushing.
"stop it"
