I squirm against the straps that held me down to the cold metal table

"Calm down, you'll hurt yourself hun." A light and cheerful voice says from behind me

I try to turn around to identify a face with the voice i just heard, but failed the straps keep me restricted

"Let me go, i dont want to be part of your society" I say tugging more.

"I said stop struggling" the women steps out from behind me
"This wont hurt much, just sit tight and you'll be beautiful soon"

I take a moment to observe her.
She was a blonde, blue eyed chick with natural makeup and bright pink lipstick on. She had a bright , perfevr smile on her face as she walks over to a table.

"Now." She walks back over, her heels clanking against the tile floor. "Im going to inject you with something that'll knock you out for the procedure" she reveals a syringe making my eyes widen. Before i could get anything out, i felt a sharp pain in my neck, instantly blurring my vision.
I got one last glance at the blonde women before completly blacking out.

My eyes slowly crack open, only to be temporarily blinded by a bright light
I groan as i blink to clear my blurred vision. Once i could finally see again ,i noticed the same women from earlier hovering over me

"Hello miss lucas, how are you feeling?" She asks smiling sweetly

"I feel terrible" i say winching at the pain that had spread all over my face.

She nods "yes, thats supposed to happen. You should feel better in an hour" she smiles "might i say the procedure went great, you look gorgeous."

I sigh realising i was part of the pretty society now.
"So what now?" I ask

"Once you are cleared you may move to the city and start a new perfect life" she says smiling sweetly

"What about my family? Do they get to join me?" I ask hopeful.

She chuckles, her laugh light yet sharp. "Oh dear, you dont know how this works do you?

"Not completely" i say alittle worried

She stands "we picked you. You and you only. You're family isn't apart of the deal hun" she says walking over to my bed.

"Will i be able to ever see them again" i ask

"Most likely not" she says

"So i just have to...start over?"

"It'll be easier then you think, hun. You'll be moving in with a new family. New family, new life, new you" she says with a bright smile

I sigh, realising that my life was taken away and replacee with one that was molded by this stuck up society.

"You're vision should be nice and clear now, would you like to see the new you?" The women asks practically bouncing up and down.

I just nod, not completly sure if i was ready.

"Oh good good good" she smiles handing me a mirror

I take a deep breath in before slowly and shakily lifting the mirror up to my face.

"Oh my god" i say in a gasp.
I look...stunning! My entire face looks completly diffrent. I have a slim jaw, big eyes, pouty lips and high cheekbones. There was alittle redness obviously but wasnt bad.
I small smile tugged at my lips , but quickly fades when i realise i dont even recognise myself.

"This isnt really me, this cant be my face" i look up at the blonde, a gleam of hope in my eye

"That is your face indeed my dear" she smiles , proudly

My gaze shoots back to the mirror with the reflection of a model in it. I slowly lift my hand to my face, immediately winching at the intense soreness. This is really my face.

"The new and improved mina ronen" the blonde says loudly

"Ronen?" My eyes shoot up at her. "My last name is glasso" I say frowning slightly, making me winch.

She chuckles "thats your new last name. You know with your new family? I told you that already silly"

"You changed my last name already?"

"Yes, we want to ensure that all of the details are worked out, so by the time you're out of recovery, you can live your new perfect life without a care"

My eyes well up with tears once it had set in. It was official, there was no turning back now...not that i had a choice in the first place. I had hope, but what ever was left of it had vanished with the old me.
