“Simon! Simon, wait! Wait, you cant leave me here!” Louis yelled, running down the driveway and following the car. “Simon! Simon Cowell!” He caught up with it and banged on the passenger side window. Simon cruised to a stop, and rolled down the window. “Simon, you cant leave me here!” Louis gasped, grabbing onto the side of the car. “Please!”
“I can and I will. You need to learn how to act like a normal person.”
“I do act like a normal person!” Louis moaned. “Look, is this about the magazine article? I swear, I’ll try to stop!”
“This isn’t just about the article, Louis.” Simon shut off the car and sighed. “It’s about you as a person. You are the rudest, most inconsiderate boy I know. You used to be the nicest boy in the business—and now you're just like the rest of them.”
“Simon, if you leave me here, I will tell management.” Louis threatened.
“Management has okayed this.”
“I’ll tell the magazines!”
“Good luck trying to prove it.”
“I’ll tell my mother!” Louis yelled. Simon leaned forward, and grinned.
“This was your mother’s idea.” Louis’ jaw dropped.
“Simon…please…don’t leave me here…in Hicktown!” Simon sighed.
“Louis…I’m sorry.” He rolled up the window and Louis jerked back so his fingers wouldn’t get caught. Simon started the car again, and Louis started to bang on the window again.
“Simon!” Simon pretended that he couldn’t hear him, and put the car in drive. Louis watched in disbelief as Simon drove down the road. He yelled in rage, and punched at the air. “Dang you!” He screamed, picking up a rock and throwing it as hard as he could at Simon’s car. He kicked at the ground, shoved his hands deep into his pockets, and stomped back up the driveway. “Stupid…pipsqueak…not cool…” He muttered under his breath. He slammed the door shut. Eda appeared.
“Young man, I understand that you're frustrated. But we do not slam doors in this house.” Louis snarled, and stomped up the stairs. “Your room is the blue one on the left.” Eda called.
“’Your room is the blue one on the left’.” Louis mimicked, then was sure to slam the door behind him. Eda sighed, and continued preparing breakfast for the next day.
