I was in a great mood and I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I walked into the hallways. The first thing I saw was Jenna and her posse.
"Don't shove your tongue down my boyfriend's throat, you dumb cunt." She yelled and walked up to me.
I raised my eyebrow. "Get your facts right. He was the one who shoved his tongue down my throat. Not me."
I stormed past her and made it into Chemistry class just a minute before the tardy bell rang.
Amy had saved me a seat in front of her. She promptly passed me a note.
What was it like making a scene with the hottest guy in school?
I rolled my eyes at least Janie hadn't told her about the kiss.
I wrote back, I do this every day :P
I heard her laugh and she turned it into a cough when Mrs. Briggs turned around to see who it was. I kept my poker face and she resumed talking about electrochemistry.
I kept zoning out as I remembered that kiss with Cole. Maybe he wasn't as bad as he seemed, I thought to myself.
I pushed the dumb glasses up and waited for the bell to ring. It rang soon enough.
Amy and I made our way to my locker.
"He's so damn hot," she sighed dreamily and leaned on the locker before mine.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Go ahead, let him know."
Even though it was wrong of me to lead her on when I liked him as well.
Wait, I did what?
I almost groaned but caught myself as I took out my Calculus textbook.
"Later, Amy," I muttered and headed upstairs for class.
I stood still when on the stairway; I saw Cole kissing Jenna. Practically screwing her as he pressed against her while he kissed her.
Jenna pulled away and when she saw me, she gave a self-satisfied smirk. "Lost something, Alex?"
Cole glanced at me for a second and Jenna kissed him again. I didn't comment as I passed by them.
I sat down at the back of the class and I was glad none of my friends were in there because I was fighting self loathing.
A few minutes later, Cole strode into the class with a toothpick in his mouth and I could hear the girls murmuring and sighing.
I looked around me. The only empty seat was beside me. I stared straight ahead when he plopped down on the seat. He didn't make a move to talk to me and I was glad.
I almost tripped over my own feet in my haste to get out of class when the lunch bell rang, a hand steadied me and I looked around to thank the person.
Cole was staring daggers at me from behind the guy who helped me up. I squinted at the fairly attractive guy.
"Thanks."
Inside the cafeteria, I found Janie who eyed me with a knowing expression. "Kiss face."
"Don't," I said and propped my face on my elbow." He's a complete asshole."
Her expression turned to horror. "What? What's the matter?"
"I saw him kissing Jenna on the stairs and then he came to class and acted as if nothing happened between us."
"Heads up," she nodded towards the door.
Cole was coming in, laughing and talking with the rest of the footballers.
