School started. High school. The worst years to enroll, especially since she had just moved to this peculiar town. "Sorry!". A young man had said as he accidentally bumped into her. Dropping the new books onto the cold hard floor.

"No. Really it's okay I should've watched where I was going as well. Do you happen to know where this room is, I'm new here to this town."

The man arched his eyebrow. "Oh. Nice to meet you. I'm Jax."-"I'm Cherylnn".
She handed him the schedule. He glanced at it as his fingers touched hers gently.
"Hm.. Oh wow. We have the same exact schedule."

She blinked.
"The bells gonna ring. Follow me I know this school from head to toe."
The girl smiled. 'He seems nice.. Very nice. I suppose this could be my first friend."
As they both began to walk.
The wind began to blow.
Her black hair flowed so swiftly with the wind.

Her eyes widened as she could hear the same whispers as she did in the new house.
"I'm always here.. Watching you..".

She quickly looked to see what was behind her.
Nothing was there.
"Hey Cherylnn-You coming?".
"Yeah!".
She wore her concerns like nothing was wrong. Though inside she was fearing if the owner was right..

''How can so much students fit in this small classroom!?''
Thought Cherylnn. "You can sit with me Jax!".
Yelled a blonde haired girl waving at him.
He gave an agitated sigh as he responded to her.
"Nah. I'm already sitting with someone!".
He taped on Cherylnn's shoulder.
"Sit with me.."
She nodded hesitantly.

The blonde haired girl have an death stare at her.
Much time had pass until lunch finally came in session. A group of girls eyed Jax. He was an attractive male with honey like hair and green like gem eyes. Cherylnn took her lunch and sat alone in a table on the far corner of the room.

"Hey". Cherylnn looked up to see the blonde haired girl.
"Look. I don't care who you are. I'm Jax's girlfriend. I swear if you get any ideas of messing with him I will make your life a misery. Trust me on that."

"Shut up. You aren't my girlfriend. You're my ex to be exact. If you mess with my new friend I will make YOUR life a misery." Jax said as he put his lunch tray near Cherylnn's.

"Hmph..". The girl walked away.
"Sorry you had to heat that. She's always been like that. I'm here so you won't have to worry."

"Thanks. This wasn't how I wanted to start a new beginning in school."

"Nah. It's fine." He replied.

The rest of the school day went okay. Since she had a new friend everything was beginning to look okay.
The last bell rang. School was over.
Such a cold day today. All the trees were dead considering it was winter.

"You want a walk home?". Jax said as he looked at her . "No. I'm fine you've done so much for me."
He shrugged as he waved goodbye and walked the other direction.

The clouds were gray. The sky was cold. The trees were dead. The town was dull. She put her hands in her thick sweater as she walked to her house hoping not to get lost. Maybe she should've asked. Jax to walk with her. This whole place did seem creepy. As if something was creeping this whole town.

The wind blew again. Shaking all the dead leaves from the tree. Whispering could be heard.
'Not again.'  She thought. Cherylnn feared for what may happen. She walked faster.
That's when she blanked out. Everything was dark. She shrieked internally as she saw a black figure rise from the tree.

She blinked. It was gone..
