Once upon a time, in a far away land, where time stood still, there lived a Boy-King. He was not kind-hearted, gentle nor comforting. In fact, the Boy-King was horrifying, ruthless. He is the monster that parents tell their young children about when they misbehave.
"Forget about the Krampus.", they would say. "This Boy-King won't torture you. He will kill you." Their children would tremble at the mention of the Boy-King. As long as their parents alluded to the idea that they will be given to the King, the children behaved. After hearing of the Boy-King for the first time, many children did not sleep. They begged their parents to be allowed to stay with them so that the Boy-King would not take them away.
The Boy-King has an army of boys. They were called a gang at times, but no one actually knew how many were in the group. They seemed to be growing in amount rather than declining. They were known as the Lost Boys. They were known to be able of committing horrific acts that even terrifies parents. Even they hope that the Boy-King is merely a story that was made up by their ancestors to get them to behave properly. Robbery, torture, mutilation, rape, murder. The list goes one. No one truly knows wether or not the Boy-King is real. He hasn't been seen in decades, maybe even centuries. There has only ever been evidence of the Lost Boys. If they were real, their leader must be too, right?
The Lost Boys were like wolves. They were sly, strong and loyal. They knew how to hunt their victims and how to make sure everyone trembled in fear even if they did not see them. Every full moon, the howls of wolves could be heard along with the howls and yells of boys that nobody knew. No one dared go into the forest at night. They knew that they would not live to tell the story about their adventure if they did.
The Boy-King haunts everyone's nightmares, even the well behaved children. He always kept them all on edge. It had gotten to the point where no one dared speak his name for centuries. He is known as the Boy-King, his real name, forgotten. Legend has it that few people still know his name, but they should never say it, for if they do, they will summoned him and brand themselves as his next victim.
No one has ever seen the Boy-King unless he wanted it to happen. His victims were always so different; the only thing they had in common was that they were between the ages twelve and eighteen.
His power was beyond this world. No one could outrun him. If they were branded as the next victim, all they could do was cherish the time they had left with family. His piercing eyes haunt the village from the moon.
Nothing has changed since the Boy-King rose to power. Nothing ever will change.
Or so he thought.
