It was a cool morning, a slight breeze blew through the air. Leaves falling, the sound of the busy town filling her head. As cars drove by she stopped and stared, looking at each one.
She used to walk to school she listening to music and walking happily along her way. But not this year, no, she had too many thoughts consuming her head, too many sounds distracting her from getting to her destination. All she could think about was him.
As she walked, trying to forget about the handsome boy in her mind, she found herself scratching at her wrist.
She had promised she would try to stop. It's harder than you'd think. She quickly decided to just listen to her favorite song and continue on her way into the hell she was sentenced to everyday, school. When she arrived at the spine chilling, cold hearted, building, she walked to her locker. It was a new year and she had moved lockers. She quickly got her things and headed to the first class. She got there and took her seat next to some random people she didn't know. She felt better than normal, her mind was focused on her maths and not him. Until, he walks in the class, late as usual, and takes a seat right where she can see him perfectly. She tries to keep her mind on the lesson but fails miserably.
After class she went back to her locker and went to the next class. He was there. She thought this was some sort of joke. He was messing with her because he knew how much it hurt her to see him. During the lesson she almost lost it and cried during class, but she held it together and contained herself.
When class was dismissed he walked out of the room, looking at her with a sheepish smile. She dismissed the thought of him and continued to her classes. Strangely, they had the exact same schedual. She was torn apart by it.
When lunch finally came she hid out in the bathroom and used her blade that she so carefully hid. One, two, three... A few minutes passed. Seven, eight, nine... She stopped at ten. The bell rang and she quickly pulled on her sweatshirt and wiped the blood off of the cold, bathroom floor. Before the leaving she quietly whispered, "Don't miss me, I'll be back soon."
After all her classes were finished, she, not so quickly, found herself walking to her home. She finally arrives after about 30 minutes. She dreaded walking inside, who knew what Devin would be up to. Would he be drunk, high, or just abusive.
She quietly opened the door and quickly ran upstairs before anyone saw her.
