Hi! So this is a Miraculous Short Story. I don't want to commit into another book yet since Secret Revealed is not yet finish but I also want to write a Miraculous Fanfic for a while now so here it is.

"Hey princess?" Cat Noir called breaking the silence between him and Marinette. He moved down to the floor and sat cross-legged.

"Yes, Cat Noir?" Marinette stopped sketching and turned towards the black clad superhero inside her room. It was night time already when Cat Noir decided to drop by at her house to hang-out. After asking some casual questions about how did their mornings went, Marinette continued what she has doing before her companion arrived ~ sketching.

She had been very busy thinking of new designs for next year's trend and Cat Noir only watched her, not daring to break the silence up until now.

"Did you, uhm..." Cat Noir was struggling to ask her his question. He paused for a moment to decide whether to continue to ask her or divert the question to another.

Waiting patiently, Marinette watched as her partner furrowed his brows. She figured that he must be thinking deeply about something. Looking at him, she never really noticed how enchanting his eyes were. It looks oddly familiar yet strange at the same time.

"Well I ~" Cat Noir cut his own words and remained silent once again. He was still hesitating. This debate on his head was going to take a lot longer than he thought. What would Ladybug think of him if he dared ask his question to Marinette ~ a civilian.

But she wasn't just any civilian. She was a special civilian to him. She was her friend, not only as Adrien but as Cat Noir as well. And her opinion was important to him. He wanted to know what will her response be.

Marinette continued to stare at him. No she wasn't ogling at him like she often did with Adrien but she was observing him. It was only at times like this when Marinette could see this side of her partner. As Ladybug, all she ever see was the happy-go-lucky flirty kitty or his hero-to-the-rescue side. She has never seen him deep in thought like this as her alter-ego and she didn't know whether to be happy or sad about that.

Why can't he act like this around Ladybug? Was she too tight on him that he think he could never voice out his thoughts around her? These concerned her but nonetheless, Marinette was thankful that she has this time with Cat Noir. She may not let Ladybug know about his worries and doubts but at least he lets Marinette know.

Marinette was absolutely grateful when the night of their friendship happened.

It was months ago and she was on her balcony looking up at the starry sky daydreaming about Adrien when Cat Noir startled her causing her to slip but before she could fall on the floor, Cat Noir had caught her in time.

After apologizing ~ or apawlogizing as he would like to put it, their conversation went on from there to random stuff. She asked him why he was out in the night and he answerd with a simple "patrol." In return, he asked her what was she doing in her balcony and she responded with a "just thinking."

She thought it was a one time thing only so she was quite surprise when the Cat-themed hero decided to come back and visit her again the night after that. That's how their friendship blossomed. Marinette was brought back to the present when Cat Noir spoke up. "Have you ever wondered about who am I under the mask?"

That was the question that Cat Noir was hesitating to ask earlier. He has many reason to second guess himself whether or not he should ask Marinette that; one, what if she did and asked him his real identity? It's not that he would tell her ~ even if he wanted to ~ but there's a posibility that she might guess and figure it out. Two, he doesn't know what Ladybug would do if he heard her ask a non-superhero about this since his lady has been very strict about keeping their civilian lives a secret. "I mean you've been letting a stranger in your bed room for months now."
