The vans speedily caught up to them and they were covering the children's left, right and back side leaving them no escape whatsoever.

"Please stop the vehicle. I repeat please stop the vehicle in the name of the government."

The mechanical clatter kept ringing as the monotone voice repeated the sentence over and over again.

"Aveline. Did you see anything else?" Lars asked politely as Aveline nodded.

"Go through the tunnels." She answered simply as Lars quickly rammed the left van when he saw the road split in two, one leading to the highway and the other to the underground tunnels used for transport.

Lars stepped on the gas even harder as the run down car sped up and finally leaped into the tunnel and as Lars pulled the car to stop, the vans had also stopped, right in front of the tunnel.

It was as if there was an invisible force between the road and the entrance of the tunnel.

"They're not going in..." Fleur commented as Aveline nodded before falling back asleep.

"That means that they would have no contact whatsoever for backup if they were to lose down here." Eamon said coming to the conclusion.

"Or once their signals blocked they can't do anything cause they need orders. Which means they communicate through the connection we have or they are powered by it." Quinn suggested

"Could you repeat that?" Alva asked

"Once they go in the tunnel their whole system will shut off because their energy or life comes from the connection we use to communicate. Check your signal on your phone." Eamon ordered as Alva opened her phone to see no service at all.

"I get it now. So it's either they would die once they get in the tunnel or they wouldn't be able to communicate with each other." Alva said as the twins nodded.

"So who wants to test either one of those theories?" She continued as everyone looked to one another.

"I'll go." Lars said as he unlocked the his side of the door and walked out, holding his gun securely on his right hand.

He kept his side of the door open for cover before slowly opening the window of the car.

Once it was fully open, he shot straight to the window of one of the vans which only resulted in the bullet bouncing off.

"Bulletproof. Of course." He cursed under his breath before a figure came out of the car. The figure wore a full on cape and hood which covered most of his features. The only thing that was seen was the red gleaming eyes that flew even in the darkness. Like the vans, he dared not to enter the tunnel keeping his distance from the entrance and himself.

"Surrender and we will not harm you." The figure said calmly as Lars fired a bullet at the figure aiming for his leg but once the bullet hit the spot he wanted it to hit, the figure didn't move he just looked from the recently shot bullet then back to Lars.

"Silly move boy." The figure sneered as the bullet came out from inside the leg. Once it came out fully, the figure took it from the ground and showed it to him.

Lars eyes widened in shock before he hesitantly asked

"Who are you?"

"Someone you don't want to mess with, but if you must know, I am General Hol. Now hand over the laptop." The figure ordered as he held his right hand out of the cape. His hand was like nothing they've seen before, there was little to no skin left, everything seems to have been replaced with metal.

"You used to be human. General Hol served under the president. What happened to you?" Lars asked curiously

"Salvador made me see a new era, a new way to live. To serve under the president without dying. Isn't that incredible?" General Hol asked him as Lars looked at him in fear.

"But you will lose all human attributes and what makes you, you." Lars reasoned as General Hol laughed.

"Who needs human attributes when you don't have to die, we don't have to deal with the loss of a loved one. We won't lose soldiers during wars and we will be unstoppable." General Hol explained

"Now hand over the laptop." He ordered once more as Lars stepped towards General Hol.

"Why don't you come inside and make us." Lars smirked as General Hol took out his cape and handed it to someone in the van. He was wearing his uniform which meant that they could only see what had happened to his hands and his face. The only thing that was still the same about his face was that his left cheek had been left human, his eyes had been replaced with pure red shinning led and every part of his face had been changed into metal. On his left side of his face there was a blinking red dot that stood out.

"Very well." General Hol said as he stepped into the tunnel, getting ready to fight. Once he got into the tunnel, the red dot vanished.

"Anyone else coming in?" Lars asked as General Hol smirked before flicking his fingers towards the van. One of the robots that looked like the C3 stepped out and went into the tunnel before collapsing.

"They can't. The only reason I can is because I still have the 'human attributes' that you do bravely said which means I don't only rely on communication." General Hol explained

"Alright then. Let's dance." Lars stated as he put his gun down and got into his fighting position.
